From the moment you walk in through the front door you are guaranteed a warm welcome from the incredibly friendly staff including, if you’re lucky, Bentley the Canine Relations Manager! I don’t think I have ever visited another care home that looks and feels more like a hotel than a care home but without compromising on the facilities that are available to the residents. In other words, there is no question that the priority at Skylark House is to provide residents with high quality care, but in a comfortable and reassuring / less intimidating environment than I have experienced when visiting some other homes in my professional capacity. Clearly, a lot of thought has gone into how to ease the residents’ transition from their own homes. There is no question that, should I ever need to consider full time care for a loved one, or even for myself, Skylark House would be at the top of the list.

Freeman Brothers and Skylark House have maintained a strong and positive relationship since the home opened. Staff at Skylark House are friendly, efficient, and welcoming, and the home offers a lovely environment for visitors and residents alike.

Outstanding care home! My mum is at Skylark for over a year now and she is very happy. All staff are amazing. Kind and caring. Carers, housekeepers, reception staff and manageress. Skylark has a coffee shop and a beautiful garden. They have an entertaining team so always lots to do for my mum, she loves going out and all the music shows. Food is great and many choices at every meal. When I visit I always feel welcomed. I can recommend Skylark to everyone looking for care.

I visited some friends here yesterday. They moved here from their family home five weeks ago. I thought it would be a wrench but they both seem so well and so relaxed. They seem very happy with the level of care and certainly appear well cared for. The lady on reception was lovely and clearly already knew my friends well.
