A few of the receptionists are the worst and need sacking. How is it that receptionists can make decisions as to what's best for the patient? Countless times I got through, and the receptionist was telling me what ONLY a doctor should. Completely useless, because her words are useless without a doctor. Countless times, I phoned, got the same receptionist and she literally fobbed me off, passing me to the pharmacy to ask them instead, the pharmacy sending me back to the doctor, sending me back to the pharmacy, back to the doctor. She knows what she's doing, and she does it purposefully. Acts like she's a force, causing division, us against them. You work for us, darlings. We pay your wages!!

My one star is purely for Rachel. She's brilliant.

Been with them for 15 years, and havent seen a doctor face to face, since 2020. Mainly because of the receptionists.

I'm building a case against them for negligence, so, watch this space.

I have been with this practice for 30 plus years.When I, or my wife, have found it necessary to contact the surgery we have always been listened to, treated with courtesy and respect. We have never been refused access to discuss any concerns with a member of their team and where it was appropriate we have been able to have a discussion or face to face with a GP.
Sure things have changed over the years, staff move on and workloads for the medics are increasing, however in my experience the team at the surgery have always tried their best to help us. The reception team and those who deal with the medical issues deserve this 5 star rating .
With over 10,000 patients registered with them I am not surprised there have been a few issues as recorded in the Google reviews. However I feel that the first step should be to talk to the surgery first before giving negatives views on line. I'm sure had they done so efforts would have been made to resolve the issues. But as the saying goes, "You can't please all of the people all of the time".

For an NHS practice the staff here are more professional and patient than I am used to. The pressure on the healthcare industry is immense and I for one appreciate the call-back system they have in place and how polite and informative the reception staff are.

The GPs I have interacted with were very patient and informative with my issues. Very happy with the service here.

This doctors surgery messes up prescriptions very often. When I moved across to this surgery after moving to the area I had a couple of repeat prescriptions on the go. They managed to order the wrong thing three times in a row. Once I was finally allowed to speak to a doctor and have this resolved I started using the nhs app to reorder and the issue was resolved.

However, this is not the only issue with prescriptions. I have been prescribed medicines containing gelatin three times in the past year after explaining to them time and time again I do not consume animal products. I have been told this is marked clearly on my records, yet the doctors don’t seem to care. The last doctor I spoke to asked ‘are you a strict vegetarian’ I said yes, then he prescribed capsules containing gelatin from that same phone call.

If you have any reason not to have gelatin, whether it’s vegan, vegetarian, allergies or religious reasons, please do check your prescriptions from this doctors surgery as you could be at risk.

4 star because I always have to mentally prepare myself to speak to the receptionists. I find them very unpleasant to talk to, they always treat me like I am a villain.

terrible experience with this medical centre, the reception staff seem annoyed whenever I speak on the phone, have told me they sent letters and text me but I havnt recived anything, I can only assume they lied to me. I was unable to make an appointment to see a GP and was told the doctor is not in the office so I cant make an appointment (didnt have to be that day, or week). very unhelpfull and at times unfriendly reception staff.

This is a wonderful practice to be with. All doctors nurses and reception staff are so helpful. You can always get a telephone consultation and can be seen the same day if needed. If anything is classed as urgent you are referred to hospital within days. Many thanks to Doctor Bal and Doctor Rai you have been wonderful. A very satisfied patient.

Have had a super frustrating experience with this practice. In the three years I've been registered, I've never been allowed past their gatekeeping practices to see an actual doctor face to face, despite requesting this. This included a muscular-skeletal issue which could not be properly diagnosed over the phone, so I was told to only call back if it 'still hurt in a month'. I was calling because the injury was a month old already and still painful. Not good enough. The icing on the cake was being told I had to take an uber all the way to the other side of town for a routine check which the surgery 'didn't have resources to perform themselves' only to learn from the other centre that Sherbourne DID have the facilities - they were just choosing not to cater to patients. I also later confirmed this with a friend who is registered at the same clinic, that she was catered to for the same procedure on site, and did not have to travel across town. Totally unacceptable.
