Arrived at MIU with a sore wrist follow fall I was seen within 30mins, had an X-ray and diagnosed with a potential scaphoid fracture within 2 hours of arrival! Excellent treatment and brilliant staff.

Clean, tidy, and very little waiting time. The staff are lovely. The cafe is worth a visit. Lovely meals and very low cost. Check cafe opening times, though.

I had a hip replacement 2 weeks ago. I cannot speak highly enough about the care I received. Everyone, Receptionists, outpatients, consultant, x Ray dept, physio, cafe, and all nurses, qualified and unqualified, ward clerks, and all theatre staff. (Hope there is no one I've left out) were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thankyou so
much

Was seen by a lovely doctor, out of hours who took time to listen, and was extremely helpful, and has hopefully started to resolve the issue! Thank you so much!

Had a knee replacement in March 2024, and I can't praise everyone enough. My surgeon, Kamran Shahid was brilliant before and after, and done a brilliant job. Can't thank him enough, and highly recommend the hospital

I can't speak highly enough of this wonderful hospital. 1 hip and 2 knees replaced over 2 years and I couldn't have got looked after better in any private hospital. All the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough to make me feel less nervous and much more relaxed. First class job by all. Thank you very much.

Really lovely staff. I visited today for an iron infusion and was greeted by Jo and Karen who would look after me, whilst I was there. I was given details about what to expect, how long I'd be there and made to feel like I was a human being and not one in one out. Comfy chair in my own private room, cup of tea and a television to watch. To most that doesn't look like a lot but I've been to many hospitals in my life and not had this level of help.

Shepton Mallet Minor Injuries Unit has taken to acting like a coffee shop, but even a coffee shop has longer opening hours!

Opens at 8:30 and closes at 14:30 and only does that on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and closes ALL other days in a town of over 12,000!!!! Imagine if the fire brigade or police behaved like that!?!

The nurses and staff are EXCELLENT but the management of this site should be taken out back and.... fired.... and replaced with people willing to put the money INTO THE HOSPITAL and not their back pockets! Hopefully then we will get back an ACTUAL FUNCTIONAL MIU instead of having to drive an extra 15 miles to be seen.

Why does the building even exist if the management insists they can't afford to staff it? I can only imagine how flashy and new their cars are!! No wonder the medical staff went on strike nation wide!!!

The out of hours GP service that operates from here are outstanding, sadly however they are NOT the MIU and not in any way indicative of the hospital itself as they come in from out of area.
