Thank you so much for looking after my pup at short notice while we're nearby on holiday! Everyone was so lovely while I was being squeamish about a tick on her eyelid.

All better now and happily playing with her new squeaky strawberry we bought while we were there ?

I was there on holiday and my small pet dog got a tick behind his ear. They charged me £32 to remove it and left a largish hole and never even put any cream on it, just sent us home to clean it up ourselves

I feel saddened & disappointed to be writing this review. I’ve been registered with Severn Edge since relocating to Church Stretton 3 years ago. We have 1 dog and 2 cats and have spent a lot of money with them during this time. When our old boy passed away last year we adopted a rescue dog from Hilbrae. He was too young to be neutered, so Hilbrae kindly provided us with a £50 voucher that we could use against the cost of neutering in the future. We just had to check with our vet that they accepted this type of voucher. I did the right thing and checked on several occasions that they would accept it. I even left it with them on one occasion so they could double check with a vet. Every time I was given the same answer “Yes, we will accept this voucher”. Yet, just 2 days after our boy was neutered, I was contacted to say we still owed £50 as they do not accept the voucher. No amount of common sense conversations would alter the outcome. I paid the £50, as it was the principle I disagreed with not the amount of money, but, in my experience, it seems that the outstanding money was ultimately all they were interested in. I was also told by Faye on reception that she would speak with a manager about the situation, and come back to me in a day or two. A month on and I’ve heard nothing. Having worked in the service industry all my adult life, I’ve found it’s often wise & good PR to hold your hands up, admit you made a mistake and “do the right thing”. Good old fashioned PR goes a long way in terms of client care, satisfaction & retention. I’m currently in the process of re-registering all of our pets with another local veterinary practice who have come highly recommended to us. In the grand scheme of things, it’s a lot more than £50 that has walked out of the door…

Our dog was ill whilst we were on holiday near here. The practice were very helpful and after a quick phone assessment we took our dog in straight away.

My pug has been going to Craven Arms since 10 weeks old. We have seen several vets and the reception staff are always friendly.
Today I was advised my dog needed to see vet due to vomiting. However I don’t get paid till next Wednesday. I am well known to them and have the pet club with them. They refused to see our dog if we can’t pay today.
Sadly all about the money not the animal. I was previously with Holmer vet Hereford and they put the animal first. I won’t be staying with Severn vets as they are happy to let my dog suffer for 5 days to get their money. It’s only because we got a puppy and used our savings on vet bills that we are short and he’s insured before I get slated for being a bad owner. This has really upset me.
