Taken to A & E after a bad fall. Every member of staff from receptionists to nurses to doctors to porters were absolutely fantastic. They were all rushed off their feet but each one that I came across showed me an outstanding level of care and attention. Questions were answered, pain managed and nothing was too much trouble. I can't thank them enough...am truly humbled by their caring attitudes and commitment to a job that really doesn't pay them enough.

Admitted to EAU on 28th Feb. Was assessed very promptly and thoroughly. All staff on the unit were friendly and professional. I was then referred for follow up on Hazel.Ward on the March 6th. Again I had extremely good care from the Doctor nursing staff and other ward members. They put me at my ease and quickly sorted out a treatment plan. Very good service overall!

I wanted to share how impressed I was today visiting Scarborough hospital.11.02.25.
The hospital was clean ,the staff were kind ,efficient and friendly.
My friend was very impressed with the consultant Mr Fayed and the department.
Thankyou for making today's visit a positive experience in difficult times ❤️

Appalling.
Huge amounts of staff but obviously no organ grinders/ decision makers.
Treating people like cattle & putting lives at risk. I would rather drive 2 hours to another hospital than ever put mine or my families life at risk again by going here in an emergency. Lucky to be alive after being eventually competently treated by an English speaking Dr at another hospital, 3 days after being admitted to Scarborough A&E via ambulance. A huge formal complaint incoming. I cannot believe how broken this place is & how bad the Drs are. They don't care if you live or die. Your just a number. No respect, No empathy. They do not check notes & history nor do they listen to the patient.
Needs total reform from the ground up. I. Feel sorry for the good staff that work in there who must clearly see that this place is not fit for purpose.
Animals would be treated better.

Just called and spoke to lady on the switchboard as I need to know if Upto date with my tetanus. She had never heard of tetanus 🤯🤯🤯 absolutely shocking. This lady shouldn't be working at any hospital. It's an absolute joke

Over last 6 years I been under orthopedics with this trust and had 1 operation at york on hip. This was delayed 2 years due to misdiagnosis then taking another year to actually do it. By this time the extra bone growth had caused hip arthritis. 3 years later still in pain and they finally realise I have bad arthritis in lower spine that they missed in 2018 ( year later claim it was just wear and tear which is why it wasn't reported even though i was only 43 at time which my GP said definitely wasn't wear and tear).

Fast forward t now and hospital to now and not only do they refuse to do anything about my back but now have discharged me from orthopedics saying they won't replace hip till it gets alot worse.
I on crutches and need taxi's everywhere and can no longer work or walk more than 30 metres or so without having to rest because of the pain. I lucky if I go out more than once a week but thix means nothing to this uncaring and heartless trust who only see figures on a spreadsheet not patients.
No wonder benefit claims are through the roof when nhs trusts abandon patients and no longer treat any but the very sickest just to save money!!

Turned up for an appointment at the cardio respiratory clinic, I went to completely the wrong part of the hospital and couldn't be further away from were I needed to be.
I am 61 and not very mobile, a member of staff saw I looked a bit distressed and asked if she could help, she said she would try and get a porter to take me to the right place, she then said "Hold on ile take you myself". She put me in a wheelchair and took me to were i was supposed to be (it was a long way)
I genuinely could not thank her enough, the lady went above and beyond to help me.
