Receptionist (Sharon if her real name) was rude,dismissive, unhelpful ,I was told to call on Monday to get a call back but was told by 'Sharon' it won't happen and call back tomorrow I tried to explain the situation but she obviously wasn't concerned about it as she just spoke over me and eventually cut me short.
I left panicking and stressed as im waiting on scan results and have been told I have shadows and all I wanted was the results which I was told will be another week
For someone to show no care or compassion to someone who is clearly worried tells me she is in the wrong profession
I'm under occasional health at the moment and will also be complaining to CQC

I have been registered at 3 surgeries in the area over the years and this is by far the worst!! I literally cant get an appointment even for mental health issues. They never call back when they should and im constantly getting fobbed off! Disgraceful. I think a complaint to the CQC will be appropriate.

Reception is a shambles, the repeat prescription service appalling aswel as their whats called bedside matter is non existent.
There are many occasions I've used the ridiculous repeat prescription protocol.
I've emailed my repeat prescription a week in advance as advised for my serious mental health medication, for it to not be ready on many occasions. After having many tortured weekends with no medication, I tried to take the initiative.
Ordering my prescription a week and a half to 2 weeks before needed (separate times), to be met with "we cannot issue your medication because you collected it recently" including the date of collection.
If you require like me an easier service with a personal touch then DO NOT collect from the surgery and have sent to the pharmacy in town.
Speaking with the receptionists at this surgery there is only 1 helpful while the others are short, rude and disorganised.
The whole service is ridiculous being basically based online.
Not a recommended GP if you can help it.

Hi. I have been with this practice since moving here 12 years ago. I have found , in general the doctor's have been very good. I have found the staff have always been polite, But for me the staff (admin and nurses) have given me conflicting advice. Recently I have had face to face appointments , emails, and phone calls,all to do with my condition, and given different advice every time. I am so confused, I don't know where I am coming or going. I just think the support staff have no joined up communication. They all doing their own thing,and not talking to one another . And that's how it stands now.

This is the worst, most frustrating and utterly hopeless GP surgery I’ve ever had to deal with. Better off picking out your coffin and arranging your funeral than dealing with this place. Avoid at all costs! They’ve wasted so much of my time and energy. My referral never got sent to the right place, still waiting for it to be corrected despite calling to follow up, urgent appointments take weeks if not months, reception staff repeatedly given me wrong information regarding prescriptions and many other services. It’s one nightmare after another at this place and the impact it has on our lives is horrendous and vile. Avoid!!!

Very unhelpful receptionist, very dismissive and couldn't wait to get me off the phone. A lot of sighing which I felt was not professional. All I wanted was a NHS health check. Couldn't be organised.

Once you get an appointment the service is excellent. However getting an appointment is another matter. The ridiculous system of everyone ringing at 8.00 or 1.00 is crazy. I tried to make an appointment for any time this week but was told I would have to ring at 8.00 in the morning as they don't book ahead. When I asked why I was told by a very curt receptionist " that's the way the system works. So clearly there is no reason. I was also told she couldn't magic up an appointment. She couldn't manage basic politeness so I would never expect magic. So I'll be ringing with all the other lemmings who have been told the same thing and we'll see who wins the lottery. All the losers will no doubt be ringing again the following day and so on. Clearly "the system" works for the receptionists not so much for the patients

Lovely front desk staff. Telephone communications are workable if you remain patient and listen to their advice. You can nearly always see someone in person about your medical condition on the same day. Have been with this practice for over 20 years and Dr. Hamlyn [partner] will always listen and give excellent advice. He runs an excellent team of medical professionals with a great back room of support staff. Highly recommend this practice.
