Our mother has lived at Noble House for over a year, and her dementia has been increasing. The staff here, although this is SUPPORTED housing and not dementia care, have been understanding of her demands and needs, and exceedingly caring, cheerful and polite in dealing with her. Never ignored, if she meets staff along the corridor on her way to the hairdresser, the restaurant, or to go somewhere with a relative, EVERY staff member greets Mum and exchanges a few words with her. The only criticism I have is that there are not enough activities organised for the residents who are in a 'between needs' (needing more than 'supported accommodation' but not yet heading for full 'home care'). Residents are encouraged to organised their own groups for activities, and some have done so, but mum is a little too far away from being able to enjoy much more than a sing song or a chat to take advantage of the things others have organised.......andhe staff here are support, rather than care, though their caring is never under question!
