I used the Littleton Surgery today after my son fell at school today and because he banged his head(around 11am). I need to applaud the lady who attended to us. She went out of her way to help, despite there being no slots. She phoned around and got an appointment for us in Eccles. When I got to Eccles we were attended to smoothly.
I have used willow tree surgery for 15 years and all the receptionists have consistently delivered.
Thank you Salford Primary Care Together

Awful awful awful! I needed the GP to fill out my private insurance form so I could get help privately as it was taking a really long time to access the services through the NHS.
I sent the form on April 2023, and they only filled out the form in November 2023. SEVEN months after my initial query. By then, my claim was cancelled, and I was left with long-term health issues.
Now, I need another form to be filled out for my new insurance as I need to see a neurologist as soon as possible, and they are not able to tell me when it will be done. They keep saying it's private work, which I completely understand, but seven months? I'm not waiting all that time again as I'm in pain 24/7 and really struggling to work. They say there are thousands before me, and there's nothing I can do.

So I can't get a quick referral through the NHS. I can't even get it privately as I depend on the NHS to fill out the form?

I will deregister from this practice. It's not the first time they gave me more issues than solutions.

100% DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Canceled appointment the day before because they fancied closing earlier. This is after alternative work arrangements had already been made in order to attend.

I have been a happy patient with Willowtree for a number of years. Dr Yung and all his team have given me excellent care. I appreciate how individual team members take the lead with different aspects of my care. Sian the pharmacist in recent weeks has taken the time to explain different medications and the best plan going forward. Like other patients I sometimes struggle to get an appointment but I understand that the practice is under significant pressure at this time. I always find the lovely staff answering the phone friendly and helpful and welcome their efforts in how they deal with my query. Thank you 😄

I am constantly having to take my children to Willow tree due to ongoing asthma related health issues. My youngest is repeatedly seen by Jennie Thorpe. She is brilliant with my children. She’s unbelievably helpful and never makes you feel like you are wasting her time.
I’ve never struggled to make an appointment for my children, even if it means travelling to one of the other sites. I’m always willing to travel to see Jennie!

I recently suffered pain in my right ovary and I was referred for an ultrasound scan at the Willow tree. I asked questions during the scan, but the technician told me "your GP will get a report". Their attitude left me with the feeling that she wanted me out ASAP, and I discussed my perception with my husband going back home.
Today I received a message from my GP and the technician couldn't identify my right ovary during the scan. Why didn't she discuss the issue with me during the procedure? Possibly because I'd have insisted for her to look further? Do they care that they are dealing with patients, and not with tasks to perform as quickly as possible?
Needless to say, I'll never be back. Glad it's not my usual practice.

Gp are great there but get through reception first is a different story! I gave 2 starts as wouldn't be fair for doctors to give zero for reception. You can wait even an hour to be connected after 11am. I did try to request one medication for a week and they kept was done and wasn't, even not mention the lost my all medical history till 2015! I found out only because I had car accident and solicitors required that! No one told me. I ordered medication via pharmacy as they recommended now and one wasn't prescribed at all - my pharmacy did try ring them twice but were hold For over 20 min each time and they can't hold they line for that long so they rang me to let me know I don't have it. After me waiting ages I have been told by receptionist she can't do much and I need to wait and take ownership of ordering medication late Late? How come I have other medications already apart from that one? So I will go for holiday without medication- pregnant diabetic type 1 so is high possibility I will go without it and end up in the hospital as I have HG sickness in pregnancy! Nice way of solving problem! Bravo!
No one informed me from the GP. When I asked why is that and they are very important medication for me I have been told "they Can't ring everyone whom prescriptions wasn't done as they will be on the phone all day! 😳😳😳 wow that many?! I understand so low reviews now from everyone because you can't solve anything. Someone should start getting consequences for work done /not done in reception as looks like only patient is in blame no matter of circumstances.

Go up
