Whole system is a joke, even to make an appointment online is full. Can't get through on the phone and if you eventually do, the receptionists are rude unhelpful, lack any empathy or compassion for poorly people. No GP appointments available. No out of hours service, this has now been withdrawn. So, Saddleworth medical practice cannot offer the local people a service and withdraws from the out of hours which can.

Dreadful!
I moved to the area recently,and registered with the practice.The phone system is a joke.I was told that '25th. in the queue is good'!
I needed to cancel an appointment,and by the time my call was returned,it had already passed,making it look as if I had not bothered to phone them at all.
The previous time I had called and requested a call back,it took me three attempts to speak to someone,and even by the following day,no one had called me back.
Thankfully,I am now returning to Moorside Medical Practice who are brilliant all-round by comparison.
It would appear that you have to pre-empt your illness or concerns weeks before they actually happen,to enable the possibility of an appointment.A dreadful experience.Seek alternatives if there are any available!

I emailed for an appointment at 8am. I received a phone call with an appointment at 9.10am and saw Dr. Alexandra at 11.30. From walking in doors of Saddleworth Medical Practice I received 5* service. The receptionist was very polite and Dr Alexandra was absolutely brilliant. Dr. Alexandra explained everything to me, eased my mind and gave me clear information on what would happen next. I didn't, at anytime, feel rushed or unheard. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Thank you.

The doctors are good, however the practice is vastly over subscribed. It is impossible to get an appointment, they need to invest in more staff.
The referral services that they used are very dated, referrals are sent via post and not digitally so take forever. The systems need updating.
If you have options, I wouldn't certainly not choose this practice.

Never had one problem with this Surgery, doctors, nurses and all the rest of the staff have been fantastic if not more. Did online request yesterday, doctor phoned me a few hours later and did me a urgent prescription. Sorted out with no problem 😊

Took a letter in personally because the hospital have to post the letters the practice Do Not use electronic system and after 2 weeks of waiting they can’t find my letter which I Han delivered so still not got my medication the medication from hospital runs out today and all I got from reception is we are still looking for it. Well this is not good enough if I knew of another Dr surgery in Uppermill I would go straight away I am so disappointed

Absolute joke of a surgery- massively over subscribed. Can't get appointments even for children. Fill in the online form like we were told to do and then get a messaged to be told to ring 111. Requested a routine appointment only to be told they were full and ring back another day once the next lot are released. Then by the time you manage to speak to someone after being 40th in the queue still can't book a routine appointment because they haven't been released yet.

Its disgusting the way certain receptionist speak to you. If you don't want to deal with the public then don't do the job - simple! I called at 8:01 (15th in the Q) and was called back approx 30 mins later. The receptionist was very rude stating I have to register for an appointment online and that she would send a link. Link came through only to reveal that it had been disabled due to volume. Tried to call back but then over 30 in q. appalling. She must had know when she sent the link that it didnt work. This is not the first time either. So you'd rather I block A&E as how else am I going to get to see a Dr? Hoping to move centres if I can as I've had enough of this practice.
