I have been coming to Lauren for nearly 4 years now and she is simply the best. Completely understands what I ask for every time and always leaves my hair looking so healthy. I’ve been coming to Michael and Lauren since 2022 and there’s nobody else I’d trust my hair with. They are incredibly professional and friendly, and they really take the time to listen to what you want. I always look forward to my appointments, it’s like catching up with two close friends. First and last visit. Asked for a classic look with millimetres off which really should mean to a hairdresser I just want a slight trim. It took me two years to grow out the last hair disaster , it was now nice and thick and held well.for long hairstyles. Off came my hair with him deeply chipping into the frame. Leaving me with nothing more than fine wisps around the frame of the face. Absolutely nothing long n classic about it . When I stated horrified and looked at the floor there was inches literally inches distraught. It’s been a couple of months since I visited hoping I’d like it . But hate it. What was long n thick hair has been reduced to thin fine and unruly. In time with its own breakage and hair shedding will leave my nothing to be proud of and has made me decide NEVER to use a salon again and will trim my own hair when needed. Please leave those with naturally thick classic hair to show it off a trim is a trim . Listen to your clients than knowing better.

I have been having Michael do my hair for nearly a year now and always leave the salon feeling well looked after by both Michael and Lauren.

Nothing is ever to much for either of them and they both offer a friendly and personable service in a welcoming and relaxed salon. Both of them are kind, caring and genuine. They really looked after me once I had my baby and needed to jiggle appointments round, something I really appreciated and I know a larger salon would not have been so accommodating of.

I love having my hair done at Ruchie and always look forward to my next appointment!

Michael and Lauren have been doing my hair for years now and I highly recommend them both. Both colour and cutting skills are excellent. This salon is a lovely little boutique with a warm, friendly feel and nothing ever feels too much trouble. My son also loves getting his hair cut here and Michael cuts it better than anyone else has in the past. If you're looking for a new salon, definitely give this one a try - you might even get a cocktail or a fancy coffee!
