I saw Dr Iqbal for an evening appointment for the first time and was blown away. He was friendly, professional, genuinely empathetic and clearly values patient care. He took the time to explain in simple terms that I could easily understand, and made me feel at ease during the appointment. It’s refreshing to find a doctor who is so passionate about his job, even so late in the day when everyone is worn down. He is a real asset to the practice.

The Health Centre is very efficient. I got an under an hour follow up phone call from a paramedic, I had an online meeting with a doctor, a nearly immediate blood test appointment.
A great experience with the surgery so far!

I feel fortunate to have these brilliant female doctors available to me, even if majority of the consultations are held over the phone, initially due to the pandemic and now due to the resulting backlog. I have seen Dr Smith, Dr Leighton and Dr Luff...all are exceptional at understanding, listening and taking the necessary steps to investigate.
Yes, there are issues getting appointments and through on the phone to the practice however, it would be unfair to mark them down for that, especially with the NHS being underfunded and so busy with the backlogs. I have resorted to emailing as I find it much easier than holding on the phone, and they usually respond within 24 hours. Reception staff can be, at times, abrupt but I put that down to work pressure...we've all been there.
Been with this practice for 9 years now and have always found them to be caring. Thanks for the support!

If you ring them you’ll have to wait up to 2 hours to get through. If you have an important prescription that needs to be dealt with quickly, it’ll take days for the administration to sort it out. The receptionist will ask all manner of invasive questions, then fail to pass on the answers to the doctors. Terrible GP surgery.

The dispensary line is only open 2-4pm, which is an awkward time for people working 9-5’s. I called exactly at 2pm and have been on hold for half an hour, unable to stay on longer as I have to go back to work. It’s a shame that the window to speak to someone is so short.

Clearly don't understand mental health or how important certain medication is. (Life saving)

Went cold turkey for 4days as the doctor forgot to prescribe me it bare in mind I called 6x to ask for it to be done so I wouldn't be unwell.

I think it’s pretty good. My family has generally been able to get appointments when needed and the staff have been very friendly. Sometimes you can see symptoms of them being too busy but that’s down to funding more than anything else.

I appreciate the nhs is underfunded. but this place seems to just be run very poorly/inefficiently. they seem to put you through a process that requires 4 separate phone calls, some of which you'll be on hold well over an hour to get through, just to book you an appointment that they could have just created as the obvious requirement after having tests done. feels like a huge amount of time is wasted in poor systems.
