The tour visit was helpful. They have dimmed light, birthing bath, showers on suite and more. Recommended to visit by appointment from the midwife before going to give birth.
Friendly and helpful member of staff. It is possible to discuss the birth options and get all the answers.

The ward F4 is located on the 1st floor.
The quick and easy way to enter from the outside of the right hand side of the E&A department of Oldham Hospital and straight take the stairs to the first floor, then just follow the signs.

There is a M&S quick shopping and Royal Cafe available inside of the main building.

A Car parking can be tricky, explore options before getting there.

The best bus option is 149 bus from Oldham bus station with a short walk from the bus stop, it was convenient.

I was transferred to the labour ward when my home birth sadly didn't go to plan. The staff were just incredible. I had a long and difficult labour and the girls I saw during my time delivering there were fantastic. So kind and warm and supportive, both to me and my boyfriend and mum. The surgical staff were also fantastic. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who worked so hard to deliver my baby safely and keep me well.

Absolutely amazing staff. On 31.08.22 I had a c-section there and the service received was great. The team did the surgery was fantastic, did such a good job. The team at the ward where me and my baby spent a night again was nice, polite, kind, professional.
I am extremely happy that I chose Royal Oldham Hospital because the staff there made my adventure so easy and wonderful.

I had my beautiful baby boy at the birthing centre and our midwife Amy and the student nurse (I think her name was Olivia or Beth) were amazing. Very attentive and always there for the support despite being short staffed and very busy. The experience I had was brilliant, a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. Thankyou Amy for all the care and support.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and tried to call the community midwives team because I fainted while out shopping (have never fainted in my life before) and no one bothered to answer, I have 2 numbers for them and called both but unable to get through. Absolute joke, ended up having to contact bardoc and still waiting for a call. Appalling service.

If you have a genuine problem that's related to birth then you will get the treatment but if your birth problem comes with other issues like headache ear and throat infection the drs at the (maternity triage ) are not equipped or medically trained to deal with this and they will advise that you go to A&E ,even though they will tell you we will deal with your problem they won't, they just waste your time by putting you on a bed for hours ,GO to your own GP, as this was the case with my wife , we had to rush to the GP , luckily we got seen by the GP who prescribed antibiotics for an ENT infection, Oldham hospital is going down the gutter with waiting times and incorrect advise from DR'S, Unfortunately the level of care is not there like it used to be.

Most nurses are ok but a couple are power mad and I’m going to risk it and say choosy who they let in. Nephew born and they kept my sister in law in four days and didn’t do anything as they didn’t have the staff
