This hospital service is ridiculous. I was referred to the hospital to see a specialist last year. When I arrived there in the morning, they told me the doctor was not working today. And they did not gave me a phone call or email before I departed. Next time when I saw the doctor, he seemed to have option on me as he kept interrupting me when I described my concerns. He even insulted my accent by asking “do you need an interpreter for your surgery? ”. ( I hold a master degree in Mandarin and English translation). Before I left, I double checked with him that please informed me about the surgery arrangement by email as I would move home soon and might miss the phone. He said he would, but I have been waited more than a year without any bloody email. And when I contacted the hospital, I was told that my appointment had been canceled as they did not receive the replying letter from me. I felt like a fool waiting for Godot.

I am currently pregnant, due soon. I’ll be giving birth here. The antenatal department, labour triage ward and the day assessment unit have all been nothing but wonderful, efficient and extremely helpful throughout my pregnancy. The doctors, nurses and midwife’s have given me great care, advice and an abundance of patience. Thank you for making my journey easy and smooth. Keep up the smiles and excellent work!!

The hospital is clean, the staff are friendly, you will have to wait - maybe a long, long time. But you will get the service you need.

I am writing a complaint regarding the unacceptable behaviour of a midwife during my recent visit to hospital My wife and I were concerned about our baby’s well-being and simply wanted reassurance, but the midwife in question was extremely rude and dismissive towards us and she made my wife crying.

we expected compassion and care, but unfortunately, we were treated with a lack of respect and understanding.

We feel that this behaviour was entirely inappropriate and not in line with the standards of care we expect from the NHS. We kindly request that this matter be investigated and that appropriate action is taken to ensure that other patients do not have a similar experience.

Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and let us know how you intend to address the issue. We would appreciate a response at your earliest convenience.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Firstly the downside is parking as the whole area surrounding the hospital is permit parking and there are limited places to park in the hospital. The plus side is that there are a number of buses that stop outside of the hospital and transport links are generally good. The hospital itself no matter which time of day you visit is very busy so it is best to arrive early for an appointment as the lifts are always busy and there are large numbers of people using them. Everything is signposted on a board when you come in to the main reception of the hospital so the departments are easy to find and there is always a volunteer to help you if you are unsure where the department you wish to go to is.

My family recently required emergency service, despite the language barrier the staff were attentive and efficient, handling everything with great care and professionalism. Although the waiting time at A&E was longer than expected, the follow-up appointments at the haemophilia center were quick and excellent. The efficiency and quality of care at the center were truly impressive and reassuring

I came for an appointment a couple of weeks ago the doctor was really helpful and informative, along with the nurses seeing me really quickly to take bloods, slight wait times see the doctor past my appointment time but it was a very busy unit. The only downsides (and reason it’s not 5 starts) is the parking was full so I spent ages finding somewhere to park a few streets away, and the wait in the pharmacy was far too long I had to to come back another day because the wait was an hour, for them to then tell me 2 of the prescriptions were over he counter, completely understandable it’s a busy hospital but it would’ve been much easier if I could’ve picked the tablets up at my own pharmacy.
