I would not recommend this home as my family member has gone downhill since going there, it was the only home with space, I am happy that when I have aired my concern it has been acted upon, and they wash clean the way they are supposed to, but there is no dementia specific activities and most of the people sit in the hall watching daytime tv, I was told that they would be entertained, do arts and crafts, spoken to about their family to help memory and even days out, but nothing other than Phil and Hollie! Nothing at weekends, and most people just fall asleep until they eat or need the toilet! We are changing homes but don’t be fooled when you do the walk around

My Great Auntie was put in this place following a fall. She originally spent a few weeks in a hospital assessment unit where she was doing really well. The day before she was moved to Romford Grange I had a 2hour visit with her, which was fantastic, chatting and laughing. I was horrified and so upset to see how she has deteriorated after only two weeks of being in this place! They don’t encourage her to walk with a frame, which the physio team had done really well. Most of the residents have dementia and just sit there doing nothing. This has affected my Aunts mental wellbeing. I booked a visit through the home manager, who forgot to actually put it in the book! I left the visit in tears at how downhill my Aunt has gone. My Mother who came on the visit, works in a care home and she was disgusted! This is definitely not a place for people who do not have dementia. I just hope we can get my Aunt out of there before she deteriorates further.

My mum has been in this care home since March 2023 and I never been so happy with the care all staff given to my mum. All staff is very caring and polite, they always happy to answer any questions and never to busy to help. The manager is very kind and helpful. Thank you for everything you been doing for my mum.
