Some of the Staff were Wonderful. My Son was Let out Much to early. He has been ill for a Number of Years. When he went into Hospital I thought and Hoped he would be much better mentally, But he wasn’t. I disagreed with the decision to release him because he wasn’t much better at all. But I wasn’t listened to at All.
On Leaving his delusions of Grandeur were listened to by the Staff. He said he had Businesses up London and didn’t need his clothes when he was leaving hospital. Of course he has no businesses at All and I told them this a few times when I visited my Son. So on the night before the day of his release (the day we were told of his release) I phoned up to sort out collection of his many clothes and Trainers (some still being paid for on his Very account) I was Told “Yes that would be fine But please phone tomorrow for a time to come and pick them up ! So When I phoned the Next Day I was given a Time (after telling the person Again on the phone that he had no Businesses) and to go to pick up all his clothes at a certain time. I thought that’s good they listened to me and Not him because he was still very mentally ill) (like I said he was Leaving way to early)
So I left my house and got there 5 to 10 minutes Early. But when I went in. They couldn’t find his clothes ! I said “But I phoned up as I had and they turned round and said “Well he gave them away & said he didn’t need them ! “ It made me quite upset because his Birthday present I had brought was also given away. They looked round again while I was there. But to No Avail. I asked “Was there anyway of getting them back” I was told “No” so I had to leave empty handed without Anything of his Clothes or Trainers ! Someone came and apologised to me ! They thought that was enough ! I felt he had been Robbed. After all they new his condition ! They must have know he still wasn’t well and they chose to believe him. If they didn’t know he was still ill it is still no excuse because I had phoned them up both Days

It's been a month I spent here.they have best staff working there. Others have wrong impression of getting and staying there,it's really helpful, don't get afraid.it helped me so much.staff is amazing, everyone works like family members. Big RESPECT

I spent almost a month in Cedar ward, due to severe anxiety disorder and trying to commit suicide.. Fortunately, due to the Truly amazing Consultants, Doctor, Nurses and All the staff that Helped me and guided me, with passion, compassion and bundles of empathy, today was discharged, with a far brighter future than ever before... Thank YOU Rochford, Cedar ward..

Staff respect dignity. Staff are insightful. Staff show respect. Excellent quality of ward setting. Good areness. Only improvement could be respecting patients opinions during distressing episodes.

These people will promise you the moon, demean you, find every excuse to do absolutely nothing and will drop you from their service completely without even telling you! Go with the Taylor Center in Southend instead of these clock watchers

My Husband Bradley Goulding was admitted to Rochford Hospital early December 2019 under the care of Beech Ward
The care and attention that was given to my husband was absolutely fantastic from all of the Doctors,Nurses.OT and even from the cleaning and food staff could not have been any better
Beech Ward is a credit to the Mental Health System and a Shining Example to the NHS
