Edit to update: In response to their reply below, I did indeed write to them, copying and pasting the email address they gave. It bounced back! Email address not known, but there were a ton of typo's in their response, rushed. I think I will go elsewhere as not even getting the basics right gives me little confidence in their ability to do the rest.

Sent in an email, twice, using their online system for self-funded apts & tests which I have done previously now and then over the years. No response, they simply didn't get in touch.

My experience as an NHS patient was by far the worst appointment I have ever had! Appalling, I left my appointment in tears. I waited months for this appointment following being diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which is chronic pain. My appointment with Dr Mali was 5 minutes long, following a handful of questions and asked to raise my right arm. I was told, "Sorry Sarah, I can't help you". I am currently being treated for depression and I was advised to speak to my psychiatrist, I don't have one. I have spent all afternoon crying thinking is this how I am going to feel for the rest of life! I would say sitting and observing the staff with patients you can tell who have the private health care, and who the cattle class (NHS) were. I had enough time to watch because I had to wait 20 minutes for my appointment. The day before my appointment I was harassed by the NHS to see if I could move my appointment. No reason given but you need to take on board people work and changing an appointment at such short notice is a big ask. The voicemail left had the word urgent about 5 times, I felt harassed I spoke to Joy, said I'd call her back she called again 15 minutes later. The whole experience from beginning to end was so upsetting, stressful and unkind.

I went to this hospital because they operated on a relative of mine. In this hospital there are good and bad things.
The positive: the very professional operating room staff and surgeon. Most of the nurses who care for you in the room are friendly and empathetic.
The negative: the nurse who was at reception borderline and zero empathic, if she can't stand people better to do something else. Also the information that they must give to the family of the operator was null. we had to go and ask ourselves and we found out that our relative had already undergone surgery and in his room through the WhatsApp that he himself sent us.
Really a bittersweet experience

Excellent service and excellent staff. I had an appointment with a specialist surgeon booked for 9.30am. I had my meeting and then an X-ray followed by another consultation. I left the building at 10.30am. I am a working person and my time is very limited. This service was simply excellent.

Horrendous. As an NHS England patient I already had my expectations low but this was not okay. I will have to report my consultation. The health care in England is diabolical and this hospital is a clear show of this

UPDATE. I have phone multiple times asking to speak to a manger and was given attitude on the phone and told a manger would phone me back. Haven’t have a call back. Also my GP never recived any letters or updates from my consultation so they didn’t even know it had happened. I would stay FAR away from this hospital, doesn’t seem safe.

I will be taking my report to the company that owns rivers and other sister hospitals cause clearly this hospital doesn’t care so I think higher up should know

I had a knee replacement done with Mr Mahaluxmivala. He and his wonderful team of nursing staff were simply excellent. Mr Mahaluxmivala was so kind & explaining everything to me in simple turns & made sure I completely understood what was a head.
The anethatist was fantastic as was the theatre nurse who was with me when the anaesthetic was given, they both made me at ease and was extremely kind and understanding throughout the procedure.
The room was spotlessly clean, the nurses were on call all the time with near to no waiting after the buzzer was pressed.
It made such a difference to me to be able to have a cuppa and bisket, whenever I needed it.
I can highly recommend rivers hospital and its staff, right from pre-admission to 6 weeks check up post opp.
I will definitely use this surgeon & rivers hospital for my other knee!
Thank you so much to you all.

I had my long awaited ACL reconstruction surgery today and from the moment I arrived at 7:15AM all staff were welcoming and took care of me and checked on me, I felt important… my operation was at 11AM and I can’t thank my surgeon Mr Khan and the other staff enough for taking care of me and too hear it went really well from Mr Khan himself made me really happy… post operation until I was eventually discharged the staff continued to check on me and support me so I can’t thank them enough… I had been using the physio department pre operation and met some wonderful people in there who were so supportive to and always challenge you! I’m glad to be using it again post operation too! Thank you to everyone at Rivers Hospital

STAY FAR AWAY! These people let my mother out after a gallbladder surgery on the same day as she had it, she is now in Harlow hospital from severe bleeding and puss from her wounds if she didnt get to the harlow hospital when she did she could have died, it's all River's fault for the fact they didnt keep her over night you should have never let her leave the same day as a surgery like that. I will be looking into making a compensation claim cause the surgeon at Harlow has said you could be liable for her injuries enjoy the law suit
