From the bottom of our hearts thank you to all the amazing staff at Hollanden park. My dad was cared for here after a devastating stroke back in November. 12 weeks was spent here. The food was amazing and very high quality. The physios and speech therapy & music therapy were fantastic. All the carers are lovely too. Special shoutout to Brandon who looked after dad on a trip up for hospital where his shift ended up being around 19 hours. Dad is doing really really well at home now and is excited to be moving to a suitable property. Thank you so much, will never forget what you all done to bring my dad back to us. ❤️

The most wonderful place for those recovering from a stroke or needing neuro rehabilitation for another reason. The staff are wonderful, caring people who bring a real family feel. The food is thoughtfully prepared and the family events bring something very special into what can be dark and uncertain times. The offer is fabulous with OT, physio, speech therapy, psychology and music therapy several times each week. Doctors are always on hand and all staff, including the cleaners and admin staff are very supportive. They even have an activities organiser who runs craft, quizzes etc on a weekly basis.
Unfortunately the building needs investment, but I understand this may already be in hand.
I would recommend this place every time?

My Dad has been there for a few days, upon his arrival he was welcomed and seteld, with was lovley as we could not be there with him.
On my arrival i was met by staff stright away and shown round and to dads room. Lovly welcome pack given to family and dad.
Also had a nice chat whith a resident named Pat, she has made us fell just as welcomed as the staff, introduced us to many and help dad fel happy.
Staff are very chaty, and very caring quick to respond so he tels me.
Dad loves the outdoors and they have exalent indoor and outdoor falcillities.

My Dad stayed here for 5 months. We had concerns when first told he was going there as QCR showed failings. However I cannot praise the whole team enough. They consistently went above and beyond to support my Dad and family. His care and therapy were high quality supporting him to point he could return home. Thank you to the whole team.

Absolutely disgusting place if I could give zero stars I would. I had the worst experience at this place I would never ever send my loved ones there if I love them. Absolutely disgusting,horrible and unprofessional STAFF working there.

My mother was a patient at the end of 2021 following a stroke. I would never allow her to be placed there again. Apart from a couple of exceptions, there was next to nothing done to help rehabilitate her ready to go home. She spent whole days either sitting in a very uncomfortable chair, reclining on her bed (which was rarely made) or walking up and down a strip of carpet just outside her room (until she got told to go back to her room). Her bathroom door wouldn't close despite numerous requests for it to be mended and there was a whole week when there was no hot water!

I spent 4 weeks here in August 2021 recovering from a SAH. I found the staff absolutely wonderful and was pleased to go back a few weeks ago to thank them a year on. It's a place going through change but I found it pretty special.

One only has to look at the recent CQC inspection regarding care at Hollanden Park.
E.g, ‘staff didn’t always give patients enough food and drink to meet their needs and improve their health’
‘Not all staff know where the resuscitation equipment was kept’
Absolutely horrendous inspection!!!!
I had to give it one star as wouldn’t post with none!!
