The continuity of care is shocking. I'm specifically talking about ward 5 and ward 3 on this occasion. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Went to give blood thinners even though they were aware of an upcoming procedure, and my son had to tell them that he doesn't want it. This is just one example of many that we experienced during a 12 day stay. My son still isn't right and he's being released today with pending blood results and other pending test results.

I was very anxious about having a mammogram but when I attended the appointment the member of staff was so lovely, she interacted with me so well, she really put me at easy and before I knew it the procedure was done. I have full praise for this member of staff and any women who are apprehensive about having this done, honestly it is so quick, easy and if this helps to detect breast cancer I would highly recommend taking up an appointment if offered.

I took my elderly mum to the fracture clinic today, she has multiple fractures in her hands and elbows following a recent fall. The original plaster and bandages were gently removed and a splint fitted. What amazing warmth and care was shown by nurse Dot, so reassuring and welcoming. Thank you for making an otherwise anxious visit so pleasant.

I regularly attend orthopaedic clinic for injections under Mr. Bindi. The staff are lovely , the clinic is well organised. I’ve never been kept waiting and the standard of medical and nursing care that I have received has been outstanding. The hospital is clean and all the staff that have encountered have been professional. Can’t fault them. Thank you for excellent care.

I came in at 11pm with my mother weezing and gasping for air. Barely being able to breathe. We’ve been waiting for 7 hours, counting. The patient number or hours haven’t moved in over 3 hours, mind you there’s almost nobody in the patient room. I’m still waiting for my mom to be seen.

We left at 8am as nobody still went to see her.

Hospitals get quite a lot of flack given the state of the NHS but I have to say time and time again Burton Hospital are brilliant. The nurses especially are amazing, so welcoming, friendly and reassuring. I know not everyone's experience is a positive one but I think its always right to recognise when it is positive!

Reception staff fantastic …. Wait times still absolutely abysmal!!! 5 hours to get seen so my wife is just sat in pain, no doctor seems to have a rush in them! Like a third world country hospital! And it’s not just burton, it’s all of them! You’re best off just staying home and being in pain rather than waiting 5 hours on a hard chair. Shame on you all
