Ex patient: The staff here are amazing and that’s all I’m going to review- I’m not mentioning communications between teams or funding, it’s bad across the whole NHS.

The staff are what make this hospital exceptional, they’re all so friendly and caring, they take such good care of the patients. Housekeepers and kitchen staff are just as attentive and friendly as the nursing staff and doctors. Don’t ever worry about being a patient or having your relative here- they will be looked after.

Absolutely brilliant nurses, HCA, physio, doctirs, food housekeepers, cleaners. Lovely choice of food and always very hot. It's lovely to see them always caring for their clients. Be very proud if yourself.

The actual hands-on, ward staff are exceptional: They truly go above and beyond in terms of affability, kindness, patience and ability considering they seem to be constantly short-handed and under pressure. The food is lovely - although a lot is wasted. The administration though is severely lacking. Both physio and social worker attachment could use a few lessons in clear and concise communication training - you practically have to fight for attention and information as family and on-going carers , especially when discharge is decided. Only got 24 hrs notice of my Fathers discharge and not everything had been put in place because of lack of direct and thorough communication. While the place has much to offer for the right patients it does feel like the place has, sadly, become a 'holding pen' for people who would otherwise be blocking beds elsewhere and when they've used up their 'permissible and funded ' time appear to be discharged with extreme haste.

Very disappointed that there wasn't more physio to get patient more mobile. Also very poor communication as to when patient would be discharged. Patient waited for over 3 hours for transport yet nobody thought to pickup the phone to let us know. If they need the bed your out whether your fit enough or not.
