Absolutely exceptional experience at Queen Charlotte Hospital! From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for patients and visitors alike.

The medical team demonstrated outstanding expertise and compassion, ensuring that we felt supported throughout the process. I especially appreciated the clear communications which made the entire process much less stressful.

The nursing staff and midwives went above and beyond, providing personalised care and comfort. Their dedication truly made a difference in our experience.

Overall, I cannot recommend Queen Charlotte Hospital highly enough. It’s a place where you genuinely feel cared for, and I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional service we received. Five stars all the way!

There is a reason this hospital is one of the most sought after places to give birth. I had the most wonderful care throughout my stay there for a birth that ended up being quite complex but both myself and my baby are well and healthy now. We felt respected and safe throughout our time in various wards and during surgery. All the midwives and doctors were fabulous. The food was great (especially if you’re vegan) . My birth experience could have been traumatic if handled in another way but thanks to the care and prompt action I was given at QC hospital I feel it’s been a very positive and safe experience. I would do it all again.

The only minor issue and this is not really the hospitals fault, it’s more a national issue is that there is no real beds available for birthing partners which means they will be sleeping on various chairs etc. I want to reiterate this is not technically a failing with the hospital but more of a reminder for anyone coming in to this hospital for their birth. From what I hear this is the same at all hospitals but worth baring in mind.

I can’t fault the hospital or team though in anyway throughout my care! I had the best care and felt so safe and valued. I wish I could remember the names of everyone who I met and was cared for by but I do remember a wonderful midwife called Holly who helped us very much. We are very thankful for her.

So yes great hospital with an outstanding care. I feel very lucky to have given birth here.

OUTSTANDING RATING (regarding quality and care for patients) and deservedly so. I had an appointment here yesterday. My first visit to this hospital, gynaecological dept. Every person, from the receptionist to the doctor I saw were wonderful. Everywhere was calm and all the professionals I came across smiled at me, making me feel extremely comfortable. I was seen right on time at 11am. I have never been seen on time at any hospital in London. The lady doctor I saw was absolutely brilliant. Kind and caring with a warm personality. She was also incredibly professional carrying out an excellent examination, explaining everything along the way and answered all my questions. THANK YOU SO MUCH for making a 'challenging' appointment so easy. You are a wonderful hospital 😊❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My wife gave birth here last week and while you can feel the strain on the NHS in terms of waiting for available rooms and beds the staff and midwives are incredibly special. They listened and seemed to truly care about us. Really appreciate everything they did! The day assessment however I have to agree with other reviews, the wait times are insane considering it is for urgent care, we waited for 4-6 hours on average.

I recently visited the gynaecology and contraception outpatient department and was thoroughly impressed. The hospital was immaculately clean, and the reception and medical staff were exceptionally welcoming and kind.
My wife was seen by two doctors who provided care that exceeded our expectations. Their approach was not just professionally competent but also compassionate and reassuring.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff for their outstanding service and genuine care.
Thank you for making our visit so positive.
Sincerely,
Ahsan

First-time mum here 🙂 I had an amazing experience at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital Birth Centre. Midwives Liliana and the other lady (sorry, I forgot her name) who were with me during labour were absolutely wonderful—very professional, kind, and encouraging. I only used gas and air, and I took advantage of the bathtub when my contractions were at their peak.

During the pushing stage, which lasted quite some time, I was encouraged to try many different positions, which was really helpful. Lucy did an amazing job post-labour 😉 I didn’t have any medical interventions, even though my labour was not an easy one! It was all thanks to the absolute professionalism of the midwives.

The aftercare was also incredible. I just thought my experience might be useful to others!

My wife completed 40 weeks today. And sitting in chair for 12 hours waiting for doctor to see. This hospital and midwives has no empathy for pregnant women.

Its so hard to understand how this hospital has outstanding rating. There is not a single moment we found that it is anwhere close to good.
The midwife, we had, was threatening us to send us to another hospital which has bad rating. We were scared of her because every single time she was rude and harsh on us. Scared us.
The maternity day assessment unit, they don’t even understand the meaning of emergency assessment. And asked us to wait 3 hours before a midwife can talk and do the checkup.
We had a horrible experience so far. Ill keep updating my review with experience.

Eventually we had to wait 7 hours to see a doctor.

We are back again here, and again waiting for 6 hours already and no sign of doctor.
The screenshot about waiting time is a lie.

Maternity day assessment unit is the most awful experience. Anytime I have ever had the need to visit (after calling the non-emergency line and being told to attend as doctors want to see me) I have had to wait several hours. On many of these occassioons the starvation and discomfort have led to self discharge. Today I waited it out only to still be sat here after over 6 hours and still not seen by a doctor. I'm 34 weeks pregnant, in discomfort and distraught that this hospital is not staffing the Maternity Day Assessment appropriately. Either the same doctor on the Maternity Day Assessment unit is also attending labour ward and/or other wards, or has to leave for long stretches of time for emergencies in Labour. Why is the hospital not staffed such that there are sufficient doctors covering ALL wards. Not only is it poor quality care, it discourages women from attending in the first place. The apprehension i feel before attending and the nervousness of whether it is worthwhile should never take place. No one cares that you have been waiting so long, no one is polite or kind. Instead I was told by midwives that 9-5 is a better time to attend, as if I can plan when I have an emergency. It's such a shame.
