Exceeded expectations. I am in the area every now and then for a few weeks at a time so I was looking for somewhere that I could purchase short-term memberships or day passes. I purchased a day pass for this gym and found it very well equipped, relatively clean, not too busy between 11am-1pm when I was there, and ample parking at that time too. I'll definitely be going back.

It does its job... A handful of machines are always broken and have been for months. During their unstaffed hours, there are weights left everywhere, but that's more of a member's fault than the staff. It's alright for a cheap gym

Great gym! Has loads of equipment and is spacious.

24 hour gym with fingerprint access, which is good. Good equipment and showers. PTs are friendly. Vending machines have really cool options. The only downside is the parking; parking is limited and you have to put your reg in every visit.

A HUGE gym. Plenty of space here. Equipment
*Dumb Bells - good range
*Barbells - 2x Flat Bench, 2x Decline Bench, 2x Incline Bench
*3 x Squat Racks,
*3 x platforms for deadlifts/rows etc
*T-Row, Trap Bar etc.
* Good range of weightlifting machines and cable stations too.

🔥Cheap
*£19 a month - the cheapest in Hatfield (£15 for original members)
*24/7 opening - but who needs to be there at 3 or 4 in the morning?
*No Contract

Quite a few students go here now.

❎️ Negatives

The benches for bench pressing are not fixed to the ground and are too close to each other.They are lined up back to back As they move it and get closer to each other it is impossible to get a Spotter to stand behind the bar. The bench as it moves forward, moves slanted too.

Also CCTV inside men's changing roons - a violation of privacy.

Men's Changing Room is a mess. People leave their clothes on hooks rather than put them in the lockers so nowhere to change. The toilets often don't have toilet paper. The whole area stinks too.

❎Personal Trainers:

One female PT kicked off someone who was on the Smith Machine - because she wanted to use it for her client. PTs should NOT queue jump and should get clients to 'train a muscle' not master a particular piece of equipment.

Guarav. While I was on a piece of equipment (Lat Pulldown) he hovvered just over me with his client. He even demonstrated while I was on equipment - as if you weren't there! I was using the equipment and resting between sets - which is normal practice. He then got offended when told to go away - and lied to the Manager about what happened. This PT has now left - and that manager.

They have a very high staff turnover.

Summing Up
The Equipment, price and easy to cancel membership are all excellent features. However, it is let down by the changing rooms, some staff and management and the benches. Pure Gym who opened a new Gym in Hatfield Galleria must be laughing at their budget rival.

Been with this group for 6+ years and can say this is honestly an amazing gym and price.
PROS:
- Packed with a very diverse range of equipment, machines and free weights (up to 65kg)
- Good music and TV’s.
- Friendly and helpful staff.
- machines are fixed in a timely manner (sometimes)
CONS:
- Poorly maintained.
- Weights and plates are scattered around.
- Men’s toilets are similar to public in terms of smell, stains covering the showering area.
- Windows are nailed shut making it very poorly ventilated. (Didn’t used to be)
- certain machines are bent/uneven.

Have since changed gyms and found it hard to find anything better than this group.

The worst customer service ever. Don’t bother signing up for this gym. They will continue to take money when you decide to cancel. Then they won’t cancel it for you and you will have harlands on your case demanding you money with extra fees. Stay far FAR away.
