I have always had a positive experience with this surgery (except for the one time and that issue was taken seriously by the surgery manager and resolved promptly). I have always been treated with respect and I feel the doctors, receptionists, nurses and all the other staff members are very hardworking and work towards helping people. I find the AskmyGP service very convenient, efficient and easy to use.
I would like to thank everyone who works here and appreciate them for their service. I would recommend this practice to others.

GOING HERE IS A RISK TO YOUR LIFE

people I've met, this used to be a really good surgery but not anymore

I have been called crazy for trying to seek medical attention and got told I have mental problems and that there couldn't be anything wrong with me when no tests were ran.
They do not care about you at all, these people working there are only there to make hours and get paid, honestly worst worst worst worst worst.
I was dismissed SOOO many times about an issue, then proceeded to lay £20 in another country to get a proper diagnosis and lo and behold it was a genuine issue that could've been a lot worse. Most neglectful staff I've ever met, a bartender could diagnose you better.
DO NOT GO HERE
if you go here immediately switch surgeries, honest.
I've got called "too young" to have what took 20 quid to get diagnosed with.
I got talked to really slowly because my last name is foreign. and got asked on the phone if I wanted a translator? As if I wasn't speaking in English the whole time?
I went here with HEART issues and they dismissed me and called me crazy.

You can't get through by phone and when you do, the doctor diagnoses over the phone. I don't understand why this clinic exists. I'm giving up. I have no idea how to make an appointment with a doctor. You can't do it online, you can only do it by phone in emergencies, there's no email to send a message. I've had enough.

I have complex health conditions and the surgery has dealt well with my needs. I have always received good, very good or even exceptional care. The doctors and the various support teams are all kind, respectful and helpful. Now that I have got used to it, I rather like ‘ask my GP’. It’s particularly efficient for refilling prescriptions (as long as I remember to ask on time, but that’s on me!). Thank you all!

Not worth one star in my opinion. It use to be a really good practice but since then the standard and quality of service has declined significantly. I had an awful experience where I never got seen for my appointment because (through no fault of my own) there was a major mix up with the taxis, which meant I was forced to ring up another taxi firm at short notice, they of course can't come straight away. At this point I only had five minutes to get to my appointment (taxi arrived at 12pm) En route, I rang up the surgery to try to let them know I'd be late. Never got to speak to anyone because I spent at least 5 minutes listening to a ridiculously long automated message and options to press 1 for this and 2 for that.

Eventually I got through to appointments, only to be placed in a cue, by the time I got to the traffic lights near to the surgery, I was still on the phone, and had barely moved from number 2 to number 1 but decided to hang up since I felt there was no point. On arrival, I went straight to the electronic screen to mark myself in but it declined as I was 5 minutes late. The reception being right next to the screen where I moved over but as I spoke, the receptionist immediately picked up the phone so I was forced to wait, despite the fact that she seemed more interested in dealing with an issue on the computer instead of addressing me and other patients waiting in the cue. I must of been standing there for at least 10 minutes before I finally got seen to.

Even as I was provided my name, date of birth and time of appointment etc. she appeared distracted and took a long time. She then told me that the healthcare assistant couldn't see me for my annual review because I arrived late, although I tried to explain the situation with the taxis and the nightmare trying to get through to them, she couldn't of cared less, extremely, unempathetic and no understanding whatsoever. However, I'm grateful that she did check with the healthcare assistant to see if they could fit me in but returned saying it weren't possible as she had other patients to see. The absurdity is that when you are marked as arrived, you have to wait anyway and more often than not it takes them at least 10 minutes before they actually call your name. The person at reception offered to reschedule at a later date to which I reluctantly agreed.

This experience has made me question whether I really want to go back at all, notwithstanding the distress it caused me as I left in a flood of tears. It takes a lot of courage for me to venture outside as I'm Autistic and struggle with Anxiety so as you can imagine, what happened made me feel 10x worse and completely ruined my morning. I'm not sure I'd feel safe at this surgery to be honest, every request now is pushed through AskMyGP but you can't even book a GP appointment on there as there is no option to do so. I also find it amusing that I received a text the very next day saying "Following your recent appointment, we would be grateful if you could take two minutes to leave us some feedback" Felt a bit silly filling in the form as I never got the opportunity to see anyone for my appointment but there you are....

They do not care about their patients. Difficult to make appts and regularly cancel them when you turn up.
Do not deal with problems, just ignore and say make another appt but there are no appts to be had.
Waste time by not addressing the problems at appts and not listening. If they listenened and dealt with the problems at the time then we would need less appts.
It seems that if you are over 74 then they just want you to die.

Good and Very Kind Doctors, reception sometimes is very hard to get hold on, but kind and easy to talk to.
Could do better with their own inner communication and organization between doctors and departments. Sometimes mismanagement is causing unneeded time delays and frustration in people. That why sometimes people leave bad experience review. But when done things in right way, really effective and helping good clinic. Wish for them patience, and keep up with good job.
