We recently visited the community diagnostic centre at Ely hospital. It's beautiful. It's clean. The staff are friendly as you would expect in such a well presented hospital department. We can highly recommend choosing to be seen at Ely rather than Addenbrookes. No queues No hassle. Just friendly professional treatment. MRI etc
Overall deserves more than 5 stars. Very impressed.

Attended the day surgery unit for oral surgery and let me just tell you, I’ve never felt so comfortable at a hospital, the staffs level of patience, caring and understanding is like nothing ive witnessed before. Every single nurse, doctor, consultant I dealt with were extremely kind and reassuring. I hope if i should ever need a day surgery again I’d be lucky enough to have it with this team.

My mum spent nearly 2weeks in rehab in Welney Ward and I can’t thank the nurses enough for their professionalism, kindness and empathy. They are so kind and nothing is a bother for them. Mum was sad to leave.

Had day surgery here 21/08/24 11 am admission was seen 325 pm.
Everyone from the surgeon (kris) to the anaesthetists to the the nurses before and after recovery were exceptionally kind, made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Was given time afterwards to feel back to normal before i left and they were still given me advice on how to continue my recovery at home. Honestly the staff here were excellent. Thankyou all so much i really appreciate your support and kindness and You all are amazing ❤️‍?

I took my son there today with a sport injury only to be told they do not deal with injury to the hip. I was told by my local doctor to take him here. He is in pain and unable to put much pressure on his right hand side. What a joke so much for seeing people with sports injury. I don't drive so had to get friend to take me . What a bloody waste of time. What's the saying choose me not ane... What a bloody joke.

If you are going for an MRI and have directions printed from Addenbrookes which tells you to go to a make shift waiting room by the 'Docky box cafe' don't go there. There is now a new building opposite (think it's called the Community diagnostic centre) to the cafe go there instead. I arrived with more than 20 minutes before my appointment like asked to, and found that as time went on no-one came for me. Turns out I was in the wrong place.

Staff were all friendly and polite. But I did feel like it was a bit rushed and that I didn't have the process/stages explained to me despite me saying it was my first MRI. So I didn't feel as comfortable as I could have! Also the questionnaire that I filled out had parts that needed to be signed with the staff, as bits needed explaining to me e.g. the drugs/contrast dye which didn't happen. I don't know if this was because I was a bit late in arriving to the correct place but feel like it should have been done regardless.

Went to Ely to relieve pressure on qeh kings lynn and more convenient. Went there directly after injury and 15 minutes before closing. Minor injuries wouldn't treat me only triage me but said l then needed to go to qeh today, an hour away even tho only tetanus required.
Not impressed.
QEH doesnt have minor injuries and a&e wasstanding room only.
