The amount of trauma i got from these guys… never believed i was in labour until my daughter was actually coming out. Proceeded to stitch me and say they had never done it before. She was born at 15:25 and only checked at 20:45. Not to mention, when i went for my induction they didnt have space for me on labour ward and took me somewhere else where i was never checked. Told me i couldn’t eat because i was being induced. I gave birth 24h without any food. If anything i could have had my child at home. Absolutely the worst

Yesterday I took my wife there because she was very ill. She got the best service from the staff members. Everyone was good but I like to say special thanks to the staff members Leema paul and Jessy John for their empathy and compassion.

I would like to tell that the experience from the Princess ann was one of the worst as we had plenty of things affect because of the poor and irresponsible staff found on F floor. Very unhappy and fed up with service. Lack of knowledge having to the dr. My baby was suffering from the jaundice still they discharged and said everything is alright. After a day we had to go in emergency for jaundice more effect in his body

This hospital doesn't deserve not even one star. I gave birth to my twins here and honestly I'm sorry I did not chose another hospital. I shall leave here some pictures of one of the twins who was taken to neonatal unit and gave him the worst treatment ever. Burned skin due to overstaying under uv lamp, heel prick test performed many times due to and I quote one of the midwifes " oh the machine we have for testing doesn't work properly so we came for another sample" and tried 5 times for an iv drip on that tiny hand.
When asked about this they sent me a so called doctor who didn't answer my questions. I know is a teaching hospital but don't allow them for students to practice on your babies. Incompetents.
That's the sum up of these people who work here.
Some of the midwifes are OK but not all.
Avoid at all cost!!!

A leading hospital covering a huge array of disciplines in medicine.

Parking is quite simple and reasonably priced. There’s multiple places to eat and many staff on hand to help you find your way around this large hospital.

Staff spent so much time being nice to us and the other 2 ladies on our C-section list, that the list overran and my wife’s section was cancelled after fasting for over 12 hours

More attention should be paid to timely care than excessive niceties…

Time for a honest review: only come here for emergencies but try avoid if you can.

Facilities:
No shops or cafes in the building at all. Heard there is a WHSmith being built at the moment, but not seen anything. Luckily General is around the corner, however it can sometimes be frustrating bringing things from General to Princess Anne (speaking from experience). Just not convenient.

Staff:
The level of care you receive purely depends on which staff member takes care of you. Some of the midwives who looked after my wife were very helpful and were really friendly and approachable, however there were others who showed no compassion nor effort to take care of her at all. Some of them have absolutely no idea what was going on most of the time.

Experience:
Everyone knows what they were doing (to say the least) however they do have a habit to tell you that you're gonna be staying a few nights if there are any issues, so my advice is to always pack a bag before attending. The staff also have a habit of coming into your room without knocking, so be prepared for that.
