Praetorian MMA is a fantastic club that caters to all abilities, whether you're a complete beginner or more experienced. My two children participate in both BJJ and Boxing, and we couldn't be happier with the experience.
The coaching is excellent. The coach has a real talent for breaking down complex techniques into easily understandable steps, making it accessible for everyone. This is especially beneficial for beginners who might feel intimidated by martial arts.
What truly sets Praetorian MMA apart is their inclusive and supportive atmosphere. My son is autistic, and the club has been incredibly welcoming and understanding. Both the coaches and fellow members create a positive and encouraging environment, which has been invaluable for his confidence and development.

Great dojo. Welcomed us back after a year away from the area and gave us a free trial to ensure the kids were comfortable before committing. Loads of classes to help the kids gain new skills and confidence. Instructors are great and really helpful, with detailed explanations. Even brought back an old beginners class for the kids to get extra practice to help them in a smaller environment. Martyn takes the time to know the kids and advises the best instructors for the 1-2-1 sessions for maximum benefit for the kids.💪

The best martial arts club I could have ever joined, the coaches are kind, professional and helpful in everything. The people in the classes are also very nice and even the ones with higher belts don't show off their strength if they know you're a beginner. I highly recommend joining, it feels great to be part of something like this.

My partner has been training here since 2023 on and off due to work commitments but in the time he has spent training he has loved every second of it. I have witnessed him transition from a beginner to a multi gold winning competitor all thanks to the club!

They welcomed him to the club and invested time and effort into his development which lead to his very first gold medal at grapplers industries after 2 months of training. Since then he has won 6 additional golds!

I tease him all the time and call it beginners luck but the truth is the club is excellent! Whether you want to try it out as a bit of fun and become a medal winning competitor the club is ready and capable of supporting you! My partner is just one example of praetorian's champions!

I wish there was a section on their website that showcased the clubs success and a little story to highlight the success of fighters and their journey as their success has improved massively in recent times! Hands down the best club in the area! Our family is proud to be apart of the Praetorian MMA family and we look forward to a strong competitive year starting from the summer!

Friendly gym with a good bunch of people.
Good, solid technical mixed martial arts training.
You will have the choice of training for fitness/self defence or for competition if you wish to go further.
There is no pressure on what ever your goals are.
They also offer kids classes.
Price wise, membership is about the standard rate for an mma gym, if not slightly cheaper.
They offer a one week free trial also should you want to check it out first.
Booking is easy and is done on an app.
Don’t be apprehensive to pop in and check it out, they don’t bite!
