Older female member of reception staff (bleached blonde hair and chewing gum in her mouth) wasn’t kind and not polite, she needs more training on customer service, considering she is dealing with vulnerable people. She was quite rude to the couple ahead of us, reiterating in her authoritarian manner that those seats are for the patients use ONLY and “YOU can wait elsewhere”, they person had no problem with that, but she had the need to repeat herself. What a nasty woman. I was waiting for her to swallow that chewing gum, but she kept on chewing and making loud noises while doing it. Needless to say it was incredibly busy. My heart goes to all the people who are pushed to go there, because there’s no other options. Then they send people to A&E - and acting surprised why emergency department is so overwhelmed. No faculties in this very small crammed room, no water to drink. You can catch more germs and get more ill from other people who are coughing because everyone just sat so close to each other in a horrible claustrophobic room. It is simply disgusting that we are paying for this service.

I went to the treatment centre with my husband after he had had a fall. We were seen very quickly and, after an x-ray, John took time, not only to discuss the injury, but to explain how it could have been prevented and to suggest how we can move forward. Wonderful service, thank you John

Attended centre for treatment for a dog bite. It was exceptionally busy. Whilst I had to wait I was seen as soon as possible and given the appropriate treatment the staff were stellar both caring and efficient. I can only recommend the walk in centre.

Having been unsuccessful with getting an appointment with my GP, I was advised to try UMT. Never again! I came in with very bad sinuses infection and very high temperature, after 2.5h of waiting I was called in. I clearly explained to the practitioner my symptoms and how long now they persisted that I get reoccurring bacterial sinuses infections. Because I an on other medication, they simply told me that they could not help me, would not prescribe me antibiotics and that it would clear itself eventually ( Ive had symptoms for 10 days) and if not advised to go to A&E! What a waste of time! called my GP them and literally begged them to see me and after being treated, I was prescribed penicillin. Avoid at all cost!

I came here not long ago with my carer beside me after a fall in my flat. I asked for a female practitioner who reassured me and gave me a diagnosis of a torn muscle on my knee as it looked swollen. Very good, award-winning services. The advice/treatment was second to none

Absolute bastards. My wife has never once hammed something up but when she gets a two week flu that causes her to regularly cough up blood they called her a hypochondriac and sent her away without barely a check. A week later and we're having to go back and spend another five hours waiting. They have doctor's there that aren't qualified to be janitors.

Do not attend the urgent treatment centre if you seriously suspect you have a broken bone.

My husband and I attended the urgent treatment centre as we suspected he had a broken ankle. We were seen very quickly by one of the lovely paramedic practitioners and sent for an X-ray which confirmed the break.

Unfortunately, the urgent treatment centre can not give you a permanent cast, instead they immobilised his ankle with a temporary cast and we were told we would hear from the orthopaedic department at the RSH within a week. We did not hear anything for a week, bare in mind his cast is only temporary and was looking worse for wear, so we called the RSH only for the orthopaedic department to say we don’t have an appointment until the following Wednesday. The following Wednesday came and no phone call from the orthopaedic department…

This is terrible patient care. Luckily I am from a medical background so have an understanding of how to manage breaks, however if you are not then you will likely be waiting around for weeks with an temporary cast which is not properly immobilising your bone and potentially leading to more damage. We had to resort to researching online and buying a boot for my husband to wear instead of the temporary cast.

Overall the system set up by the practice plus group’s urgent treatment centre and the RSH’s orthopaedic department to manage fractures is not fit for purpose. I would highly recommend anyone who suspects they have a broken bone to attend A&E at the general hospital instead where they have the capabilities to manage the break properly with the appropriate follow up.

Really really bad service.

Referred by 111 and went straight there all the way from alton. Only to be told once I got there, that they're at capacity.

The whole place was empty. No cars in the carpark and nobody in the waiting room.

I think it was just late and the receptionist couldn't be bothered. She was immediately sarcastic and with an attitude.

I have medical trauma and was sent there specifically because I can't face the hospital. She just told me to go to the hospital. I then had a panic attack 🙃

My issue is, if you were actually at capacity, don't you have a duty of care to at least let the patient know before they arrive? You were given my information including phone number. How hard is it to make a 2 min phone call to say, don't bother wasting your fuel and time.

I had got my boyfriend to drive me and it was bad enough but imagine spending 2+ hours on a bus with a gaping wound just to be told you can't be seen.

The girl was defensive and unsympathetic. I didn't get her name but she was solo working on 6th August at 9pm.

I'm glad it's all audited by smart cards for when I report her to pals

Wouldn't recommend for anything. Very bad service.
