I recently had a gastroscopy procedure at Practice Plus, Ilford Hospital, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the care I received. The staff went above and beyond by calling me to offer an earlier appointment, which was incredibly convenient. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with professionalism and kindness. The nurses and doctors were so caring, guiding me through the procedure with reassurance and expertise. I was in and out of the hospital in under an hour, and the entire process was handled seamlessly. The minimal discomfort I experienced was a testament to the skill of the medical team. I can’t rate the doctors and nurses highly enough – truly outstanding care!

I had a left, total shoulder replacement operation on Monday 16 Dec 2024 and found my experience well worth the 5 🌟s. I found all the staff, (from ward, theatre, xray porters, cleaners and catering) leading up to my operation and the following day so very helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them and they put me at ease. I am not very good at remembering names but I do remember Karen, who looked after me when I arrived and Veronica (student nurse) who stayed with me while i waited for my cab to arrive. Just wish I could remember your names so I could name you but you know who you are. Once again, thank you all x

I had an arthroscopy del ankle on 25th October, and I am very grateful to everyone. Everyone is very kind, respectful, and professional. The nurses and the doctors treated me with so much care before and after the surgery. The operation went well, and I want to thank you, everyone. Kind regards Niculina Paiu.

After waiting over a year for the referral.

Beyond awful service, after having our mothers file on record for a long time we had 5 maybe 6 appointments over a 12 week period for quite a serious knee condition , they have now told us they are unable of operate due to her health as they don’t have the aftercare that she will require in the hospital. The Doctor nurse / anaesthetist and many others we saw during this period failed to mention this at any point despite providing a full medical history prior to this appointment and during. We were told by the doctor on our second appt that we would have an appointment within 4 weeks and if the date hadn’t come through to call and get it booked in asap .

We were called back for an ECG / more bloods and an echo all of which were a complete waste of our time, despite the results all being absolutely fine.

From the terrible receptionists who promised to follow up and get back to us and didn’t for weeks on end, and then lied about sending out appointment letters, only for them to arrive after the appointment dates after chasing for them several times, from the arrogant Doctor who didn’t have the capacity to see us at our given appointment time, sending us away, making us redo x rays that were only a few months old and then coming back to see him and approving surgery to be then told, 8 weeks later they can’t do it and we should have been told that at the beginning.

And what do we get after all this time, a crappy apology and an admission that that they have lessons to learn as they made many mistakes handling this case. What about all the time you wasted for a vulnerable patient who you made to feel uncomfortable for having a condition, not to mention all of the family members that attended the appointments and the time we had to take off to attend so many of them.

Honestly the service has been distressing and so disrespectful to say the least. I hope you do learn some valuable lesson, it sounds like many of you need to learn some basic manners as many of the appointments were uncomfortable and seemed very judgmental when I was specifically discussing my mothers medical history . The facial expressions were not missed Muhammed and were not appreciated, and we could hear the excuses brewing when you did an impromptu memory test. I didn’t realise being an anaesthetist qualified you to be an Alziemers specialist where the basis 101 is not to ask abrupt direct question’s to someone who had already been made to feel a little scared by your attitude. For any vulnerable person who does not have someone with them I can’t imagine how you must make them feel.

Both the doctor and the anaesthetist especially for a private clinic shame on you, or do you save those manners for your NHS patients only. Had the anaesthetist bothered to show up for our first appointment, but instead sent a qualified admin maybe this would have saved a month or so in going backwards and forwards, your admin told us that there would be no issues in aftercare btw as our our family would have been able to provide all of the necessary support she would have needed to recover so one of you was obviously telling some fibs here, but given the final appointment and the absolutely appallingly attitude from the named Anaesthetist, it was clear this wasn’t something he wanted to give his time too.

We all appreciate that doctors have to see many many patients on a daily basis - but you do need reminding that your job requires you to behave in a respectful manner and you are there to provide a medical service, one that requires that all patients are shown a level of dignity, which your practise clearly doesn’t practise at any level.

if you have any existing medical conditions not able to treat you as not qualified to do so I learnt today. They may forget to tell you that after following medical plan to have a procedure just to add insult to injury. Would give zero if possible.

Good receptionist and nurse but Dr and Manager I spoke to struggled to hold a conversation apart from to say not the Company's fault but GPs.

Awful Customer Service – Avoid This Place!
The appointment booking and reception staff here are absolutely appalling. They are rude, dismissive, and make no effort to assist in a professional or courteous manner. I’ve rarely encountered such unhelpful and disorganized staff. Instead of addressing queries or offering solutions, they act as though you’re inconveniencing them by even asking for help.

To make matters worse, their attitude is condescending, and they seem completely uninterested in their work. Booking an appointment shouldn’t be such a stressful and unpleasant experience, yet they manage to make it exactly that. This level of incompetence and lack of basic customer service skills is unacceptable.
