Well where do I start. This hospital SHOULD be closed down. It is not safe for any one to be there especially children. My daughter is here for a little while longer and was gonna wait to do this review but it needs to be done now. They Employ people that abuse the system to the point that staff members are sending nudes to young patients. Then there are staff members trying to get patients in a room on their own and when you complain about it, it gets ignored by the top people of the hospital. The young adolescents have complained about certain staff member and when some thing happens its the patients fault. People have escaped due to staff members falling a sleep and leaving their keys about. Major safe guarding issues going on at it this hospital and it needs to be sorted. If you see any good reviews of this place its done by staff members so just ignore it. This hospital is not safe.

I was admitted to crystal ward from Nottingham as there were no beds in my local area. I stayed here for just over 4 weeks whilst I awaited to be recalled to Nottingham. The care I received was excellent, the staff on crystal ward are extremely caring & so nice, they really looked after me and I felt safe & cared for at all times. I am extremely sad to have been moved back to a bed in my area and would have chosen to remain on crystal ward if I had the choice. The facilities were very good, regular psychologist sessions, OT activities & groups, one to one time with staff, separate bedrooms that felt homely but safety still top priority. I can't fault anything there & would move back to that ward now if I could - they really looked after me. Thank you all staff on crystal ward!

This place should be avoided at all costs! Staff are completely unequipped to deal with the real issues, and lack compassion or care to fulfil their job. Bullied, beaten, teased, manipulative care, constantly telling my loved ones I would be admitted for different lengths of times, constant misinformation. This caused my life to fall apart on the outside and I have been left with a shell of the previous life I had. Also now suffer suspected PTSD from being imprisoned here. Not allowed outside, confined to 4 walls with nothing to do - how can this improve anyone’s mental health? Staff are too busy DOING NOTHING to attend to you or your needs. You’re an inconvenience to them. My relationships fell apart having calls dropped or never made, contact denied due to bruises they didn’t want my family to see. Other patients run rampant with a disgusting night staff who lack care about the job to even control those who have serious mental health issues. I had no form of rehabilitation or therapy despite being promised it. I actually have more issues now than I ever did previously. I could go on, this just scratch’s the surface of the mistreatment and malpractice here. Just please don’t send anyone you care about here.

This is a truly awful place to be in. Do not send your loved ones here. The staff are uncaring and treat everyone like they don't matter. It made my mental health the worst it has ever been. I was an optional patient but they wouldn't let me out. I had to eat all my meals alone in my room, couldn't open the windows and wasn't allowed outside cos I had no shoes with me.
Then they threatened to section me because I tried to push one of the locked doors. I'm not surprised it was the only place with rooms available, because it is truly awful. Please avoid it for your own safety.

This was horrible we were abuse and traumatised here I was in the adolescent wards and the staff didn’t care we got given meds to od on by staff and others had dangerous items on them staff abused us and the general ward was dirty and broken. At one point there were live wires and screws hanging out the ceiling which was dangerous and many patients went to a and e because of that. Staff laughed during ng feeds and made rude comments about parenting and were very rude
