I am a patient at the practice and every time I have an appointment I feel happy and satisfied afterwards. They always try their hardest to help every single person who comes through the doors. As a receptionist in a GP surgery I understand how hard it is and I can see that each and every one at porters avenue does everything they can to help.

Absolutely poor services! You would think people who deal with people’s health will be better. I was not feeling well so I called 111 and they booked me in with my GP. I double checked with 111 where my appointment was because I know they have two locations. 111 gave me the address to the Dagenham one and I even had a text to confirm my appointment.

An hour and a bit before the appointment I received a text sending me to the other location which I didn’t see. They change appointments and don’t bother to call. The reception told me I am booked in the other location and that there is nothing she can do. No apology for changing my appointment to the second location. If you are going to change an appointment at least make sure the person is aware. The lack of sympathy or responsibility is astonishing.

When I show her both text messages, the first where I attended and the second now requesting that I go to a different location, she refuses to acknowledge it. Don’t play with people’s lives.

Once you get past the receptionist who have absolutely no idea how to speak to people then only some of the doctors actually have a bedside manner.

It's been a long long time to finally have a good helpful receptionist. Letcia was very patient and try her best to look for the best to fit my requirements for both bookings GP & physio appointment. I wish all receptionist can be like her, so willing and happy to help.

This Medical practise has improved a lot over the last few years.
Recently I was using there service very often for myself and my family and all my enqueries was resolved well by Dr Hameed and Dr Singh.
It makes Life less stressful and so much easier when getting support from your local Doctor when resolving problems for yourself and family with Health issues.

I requested a face to face appointment with a female doctor.
I was seen by an elder male doctor.
I needed to get a blood test form and requested it from the doctor during the visit, and he told me they don't do blood tests so often, only once for a few years and my last blood test was done in May.
I struggle with kidney and liver pain, my thyroid isn't well, and I have a rush all over my body.
I had to cry there to get the blood test form only to check my thyroid and cholesterol.
I have never ever felt so disappointed, so humiliated for asking for simple blood work..
