A very friendly and welcoming surgery. During covid it was bit difficult to get an appointment as you had to ring within certain times now it has all changed and back to normal the reception staff are very good and competent also the nurses here are good and friendly
The place shares the space with another surgery located in the building which makes parking spaces limited so if you have a early morning appointment you most probably get some parking space if not you will have to park illegally in nearby roads and hope you don’t get a good ticket

Absolutely disgusting surgery. My poor Nan has been waiting a week for the community care team to deliver a cushion and look after her bed sores. May I add she is so poorly and not eaten properly in a month. They have not showed up three times now. However when we made a complaint they called my grandad within half an hour to make him feel terrible about us making a complaint, which in itself is illegal. The agency nurse did not even log any of my nans symptoms so we have been going in circles.

I'm a new patient here and called for the first time today for an appointment. I don't think I've ever spoken to such a rude receptionist. She was completely disinterested like I was some big inconvenience and tried everything in her power to send me elsewhere. Go to a pharmacy or urgent care was basically how we left it because as far as the receptionist believed I didn't need to see a doctor. I'm having to change GP already because even the other reviews say you're lucky if you can get past reception. Clearly not a one off problem

Avoid Pilgrim GP!

Unbelievably rude staff! The receptionists are dismissive, and the doctors act like they’re barely awake. I went in for a blood test, and despite the results showing an issue, I never received any follow-up from the doctor. The lack of care and professionalism here is shocking. Truly disappointing experience, and yet another example of how poor the healthcare system can be. Avoid this place if you can!

A very well managed surgery, excellent, efficient doctors and receptionists. I am always particularly impressed with the young male receptionist- very thorough and efficient. All top notch!

“Terrible experience at Pilgrim GP!”

Avoid this place at all costs! The reception staff is incredibly rude and dismissive, and the doctors seem uninterested and barely engaged in consultations – as if they’re half asleep! I had a blood test done that indicated a potential issue, yet no one followed up or provided any explanation. The lack of communication and care is appalling. Unfortunately, this is a poor reflection of the UK health system. Very disappointing!

When we first moved into the area 9 years ago, this was a very good surgery, with caring doctors, nurses and admin staff. But now it feels like you are playing the lottery while trying to get an appointment. After doing an ultrasound and full bloods for a concern I raised, I was asked to call the surgery to book a routine appointment. And when I called they said they only release routine appointments every Friday after 10am. If you miss that slot then you need to call the next Friday. So when I called on a Friday they say the appointments are all gone now I’ll have to call next Friday. This is because I called around 12, and the receptionist pointed out I was 2 hours late. I was told to call after 10 not at 10! Patients also have jobs and this inflexibility of the surgery is so frustrating.
Medical care should not be so hard to access. Medical staff and assistance has become so difficult to access at this surgery.

I know there is a big stigma about GP practices and how busy and uninterested they are. However personal experience with Dr Patel's surgery been generally good. On my recent visit for my 8 year old child they accommodated us in the morning I called and we saw Katherine, she was very good, listened to all my concerns when I explained everything about my child and the issue, she checked her throughly and then just to be sure she gave us a urine test to do, which turned out to be infections. She didn't just dismiss us as a viral infection and sent home as I knew this one wasn't just viral. After the prescription she even made a referral to ultrasound just to make sure everything is ok with my child.

I am very happy with the service I received yesterday, I know GPs are so busy and overwhelmed with not enough doctors and receptionist who needs to know everything which might seem a bit intrusive but I give them credit for trying their best and helping, there has been times that I have been dismissed elsewhere but generally I've had a good experience with this GP practice.
