Wait times are extensive either on the phone or when you're waiting for your face to face appointment. samples sent off incorrectly (wrong type of equipment used for certain sample) or they are labelled incorrectly so unusable and then you have to take even more time out of your day and work around going back to deal with the problems caused by Pennygate. Prescriptions sent to an online prescription service when I have needed them to go next door - and have checked and double checked that's where they've been sent so I can get the Rx quicker. Multiple problems. The GP I see now is incredible but the rest of the service is terrible. I was even given a charcoal swab when I should have been given a pot for a water sample. When I pointed this out to the receptionist she was adamant she was correct until I insisted she needed to check - she then laughed and brushed it off, no apology, no acknowledgement that I could have sent off a swab that would have been useless and I'd have to do it all again and have a further delay in getting my results! Turns out it was all useless anyway as neither of my samples had been labeled!

Including a ridiculous encounter with one of the nurses I saw for an appointment recently. asked me about 10 times if I eat enough food due to my low heart rate - I have a fairly high muscle mass, of course I eat enough. she stated she 'had to check' because people with EDs can have a low heart rate.. yes, and so can people who are incredibly active, have good cardio health and decent muscle mass! Why would I lie and what kind of ED where I starve myself would result in me being in such good shape 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄

When I have the time I will be looking into their complaints procedure because it is getting beyond the point of minor errors and one-offs now, I actually dread having to get in touch for help as there is always an error.

Gp's get bad press these days but my experience is one of excellence, messaged via ask my GP , seen within 4 hours, tests done within 48hrs, one of which was sent through whilst I was waiting and result back with advice and peace of mind for me within 10 minutes. Excellent service, can't fault this practice.

Had a blood test, requested a INR level from the sample that the doctor took, got a text telling me to ring the surgery today as my results were back. The receptionist told me that it was a fail, and had to have it done again, no apology given, no explanation given, I had to ask what went wrong, she told me the doctor had labelled the sample wrong. I'm sure she could tell I was becoming agitated, because when I asked her about another appointment, she told me there were no more appointments available at the surgery, for a full 2 weeks, I would now have to go there to pick up a form from them, then take it all the way to Leigh Infirmary, and book an appointment with them, then I'll have to go all the way to Leigh again at a later date to get the blood test done. I am with Pennygate! Why can't someone from there do another test for me? They mess up, and it's ME that has to suffer for it, it's no wonder I'm agitated, no consideration at all.

If I could give zero I would. Given the complete run around for 12 months now, physio, wrong place xrayed, incorrect ultrasound ( paid for a private one). Put in a complaint only to be sent a letter that a 12 year old could have written better. Told I'm a liar when I have the call recorded on my phone. Repeated told them what I can and cannot take. Told this morning they need to do a thorough examination, well they've had 12 months to do that. Medical negligence claim incoming.

Just registered for this Medical Centre and they have time slot for different services.
If I want to have an appointment for normal GP, need to wait about 2weeks …..

Shocking to say the least. Sick of this place giving me the run around. Can’t even complete simple tasks. I need a letter from the GP and now I have to have a phone call from the doctor to request this in three weeks? Honestly drives me mad. Never know where my prescriptions are going they sent mine and my other family members to different pharmacies. Could go on and on.
