I'd give a zero if it was possible. A Dr was supposed to call me Wednesday this week and didn't so I rang today and they said Dr would ring today at 4.15 and didn't. Instead he decided to put a note on my record saying "did not attend" didn't attend what you didn't phone. Absolutely shocking surgery I know times are hard now with getting appointments but come on.

I visited the Surgery this morning on behalf of my elderly Mum.

The lady at reception was incredibly patient and kind. She listened attentively to my concerns and offered a helpful solution. This is the second time she has been at the reception during my visits, and both times, her service has been exceptional.

Went to see a Physio at this place who then referred me for an X Ray on my lower back and Pelvis to Acorn House..all sounds good so far. Went to Acorn House only to be told they don't even do X Ray's on lower back and Pelvis because they don't have the equipment. FFS!! Went back to Peel House to inform them, the Receptionist couldn't give a Toss. I said 'Shouldn't your staff know this information' to which she replied ' I can't answer that question.' Absolutely baffling how these places run on a daily basis..A Wing and a Prayer I'd say. Terrible experience from start to finish. Hope I never have to visit this place any time soon.

Excellent surgery. A few really great GP’s & nurses there. I have complicated health issues, I always leave feeling heard, empathised with, and supported. Referrals are done if I request them, I’m greatful for this practice.

I can never get an appointment I have a list of things I need to speak to a dr about now as I haven’t been able to get an appointment since may. And only got help in may because I was so depressed that I was feeling suicidal one of the things they had messaged me to book an appointment about on 31/07/24

Waiting time on the phones and access to appointments, etc., is really difficult, but that's a national problem that Peel House cannot do much about. It's clear that the demand for appointments and lack of availability causes the staff here lots of stress - understandable, it's a very difficult job and Primary Care collapsed a decade ago. However, that is not a valid excuse for the staff on reception and on the phones to be so unnecessarily rude. You are the first point of contact for most people accessing healthcare. It's a role that requires compassion, patience, and good communication. Do better.

If I could give minus, I would!
My sister (disabled) went to see if she could see a doctor, coughed vomiting and generally unwell- answer from nurse practitioner nothing you can do work through it.
Went back again after a deterioration, again no Gp nurse prescriber antibiotics, got worse, told no Gp appointment
Had to change GP- new GP, arranged an immediate appointment due to length of time sick and continued deterioration
arranged blood test- result admitted into hospital, kidney failure!! If we had stayed at peel house, she would have died
True story!!

Impossible to get an appointment with a GP, wait 30 minutes in a queue and when it gers to Number 1 in the queue, the calll is ended! Ordered a repeat prescription on Patient Access (their recommendation) on Tuesday morning, not received by pharmacy by Friday! Dreadful service!
