I have worked for PLC for 2 years now and l would gladly say there is no better organisation than PLC. The employers are great. Management and staff are great and it has become more like a home to me. They have their ups and downs as a company and if you put through any complains to them they are very quick to answer them. I would like to say 'thank you' for giving us 28 days notice, then pulling the carer out a week later, and leaving our dad who has advanced dementia without a live-in carer. For us as a family to question things or request paperwork is allowed and to be told that we need to keep emotions out of it and be professional, says it all.
We have found a professional company who have supplied an A4 folder of policies, care plan and a other key paperwork. They have given us a communication book as well. Us looking after our dad for a week, 24/7, has also confirmed we didn't need any additional carers for the night or personal care, as we suspected. The new care agency have given us back the faith of care agencies.
The carers we had from your agency did do a good job with dad, it was the office staff that we found unprofessional.
