We use the friendly cafe for a hot cuppa, snacks and to relax by watching the birds and squirrels.

Its a shame some dog owners don't pick up behind their dogs, we had to dodge several piles on the footpath from the carpark.

Great place for a walk, lots of trees, forest, lakes, wooden footbridges and viewpoints. From what I remember, you can ride a bike there. There are also lots of parking spaces.

18/01/2025. Returned for another walk around the country park. Very soft under foot so sturdy trainers needed. Very busy as always and parking a mess.
Another lovely country park following the Great Ouse. Easy circular walk of approx 3 miles, or can be stretched out to Offord Mill which is a 6 mile return. The walks are well signed and a map is available for a small fee. Well kept area with lots of bird species resident. Free entry and parking, maybe an honesty box for £2 parking would help the upkeep?
Nice little visitor centre and coffee shop on site with very good prices.

I was plesantly surprised how many different paths there is. Car park is fairly sized and it is free. There are toilets at a visitor centre, and there are plenty of tables if you fancy to have a little brake outside. Paths are all sign posted and well looked after. Many hideways for bird watching. It is a very peaceful place to visit. Definitely will be back in a future.

Well maintained walking paths and wonderful scenes to view. Very accessible and mostly flat ground. Plenty of different wildlife and flowers to see. Free parking by the visitor center and easy to find. The visitor center is dog friendly and the volunteers are very helpful and friendly. Great place for a leisurely walk and a small picnic.

Lovely few hours spend walking round the pits with friends and our dog. Not too busy and plenty of stop off places along route. A few more dog waste bins would be helpful. Loved all the information boards telling you what to look out for. Shop by the car park perfect for a little post walk refreshment. Dogs water bowls by most benches a big plus too.
