I have a permanent back problem, sometimes it is worse than others, I had my first appointment with Shawny , she found the spot straight away and loosened the muscle.
My 2nd appointment was with Johnny and I had another one with Shawny, my back is feeling much better now , I keep doing the exercises they gave me. They were both very good, friendly and professional, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Over a period of 10 weeks I received weekly sessions of physio. These were mainly undertaken by Jade White and during that period she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about my injury. She was effective and efficient in dealing with the injury and over time helped me to manage the injury and begin to feel recovery was happening. Jade was very thoughtful in advising me about how to begin exercising again and advised on the timing of how I should increase and prolong exercising.

My shoulder had been in pain for 6 months. The dr had prescribed medication twice with no effect and then a physio had given me a phone session and some videos of exercises which didn’t help because they targeted different areas. Finally, I booked a session with Elle at the Guisborough clinic and then went on to have four more deep tissue massages which worked a treat. They also gave me much simpler more targeted exercises - and told me exactly what was wrong with my shoulder - a much clearer diagnosis and treatment! Worth every penny.

I have found my experience overall very positive with Shawny my physiotherapist, she has made me feel welcome, put me at ease and has been friendly and chatty throughout my appointments. She has also given me lots of information about what my issues are and is very knowledgeable in her field.

What I’ve liked about Shawny is that she has given me homework to do which consists of different exercises to help my recovery.

I contacted the Guisborough Clinic last September and spoke to Vicki. She was extremely friendly and helpful obtaining some advice from Jonny until I was able to attend the clinic. Jonny diagnosed shin splints after examining my leg (after a month of telephone conversations, I still had not had a physical examination from the doctor!) and advised a course of massage and physiotherapy. After the consultation with Jonny, I felt much more confident that I would be able to resume my daily walks. Even after a couple of sessions, I was in less pain and felt able to walk a little further than just around the house! Between them Jonny and Jordan gave me the confidence and ability to begin building up the distance I could walk again. By the end of November, I was back to walking the dog daily something at the beginning I despaired I would ever do! . From the receptionists to the physiotherapists, there is a warm, friendly and supportive welcome. I would certainly recommend Paul Gough Physio and am very grateful to Jonny and Jordan specifically.

This is not the first time I have used the services of your physio staff (Jonny Corner) as following a fall some three years ago, and being given bad advice by the NHS, Jonny sorted my back out and in June 2019 I was able to take a planned holiday of a Road Trip around the “Fly over States’ of America. In three weeks we visited nine states and drove 4,500 miles without any problems with my back.
My current problem is a re-occurrence of the original problem caused undoubtedly by the lack of exercise over the past year due to the Covid Lockdowns.
A course of treatments from Jonny seems to have fixed the problem again.
I have always been happy with the service received when attending the Treatment Rooms in Chaloner Street, Guisborough. The receptionists are friendly and welcoming, getting to know the clients by name and putting them at ease.
Jonny is a great physio, and we have a good chat throughout the treatment during which he keeps me informed of what he is doing, and the progress being made.
A recent MRI scan (on Jonny';s advice) shows that there is nothing 'sinister' going on that requires surgical intervention.
It may be that at 74 years of age I should be booking in for a massage each month just to keep the old back ‘toned up’ but I am sure I will be given the right advice about this.
In a nutshell – happy with the treatment and all the staff – so keep up the good work.
