I’d like to express my sincere appreciation for Lisa June Jones, who works at the reception of Parkside GP Practice. In the past, I’ve had some mixed experiences with certain staff members, but Lisa truly stood out for her professionalism, compassion, and efficiency.

Recently, I needed urgent help cancelling a medication delivery for my spouse and arranging it for same-day collection instead. Lisa handled the situation with great care and urgency, and thanks to her swift action, everything was sorted within hours. Her support made a stressful situation so much easier.

Thank you, Lisa, for your dedication and outstanding service—it really made a difference.

The nurses are the nicest, some doctors are good and the receptionist are all so rude and unhelpful, be it on the phone or face to face. A simplest question about which waiting room as the TV didn't indicate it bothers them no end, especially when there is absolutely no one else sorry from you, only patient. They lack discretion and manners.

Brought my elderly, anxious mum in this morning, August 1st for treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. All 3 staff were so kind, patient and cheerful. She was reassured that she need not have surgery, which she feared.
All options and outcomes were carefully explained. She was given time to take it all in before proceeding with an injection.

She was very happy with the staff and her treatment. Thank you everyone.

Terrible drs. Terrible staff. Can never get through or get a appointment! The receptionist think there the GP and there not answer the phone and do your job nothing else!

Rang on a Monday morning just after 8 for an appointment. Time waiting on the phone was minimal. Phone was answered by a very pleasant care navigator who was very professional in her role. I was offered a telephone consultation or a face to face appointment for a weeks time as it was non urgent which I accepted. Later in the day I had the need to actually visit the surgery and was greeted by a young male care navigator who was very well presented in his appearance. Once again the social skills of the care navigator were excellent. He sought advice from a senior member of staff, and when he returned with the answer he apologised for keeping me waiting.
The Nursing Assistant who I also had dealings with was again excellent in her care. A real asset to the surgery.
The surgery is also very clean and tidy, so thanks to the housekeeping staff too.
Some review posted state the lack of appointments available, but please consider how many appointments are wasted by not turning up. These could have very easily have been filled.
Also now with Pharmacies being able to assess a patient more thoroughly for minor ailments this will be the first port of call, again freeing up valuable Doctor and Nurse Practitioners appointments.
The Surgery deserves a five star rating, and a better practice would be hard to find. A pat on the back all round.

I can't thank staff enough for taking care of me during my hernia operation yesterday. From meeting me at the front desk through to the post op cup of tea, they made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout.

Hello, why don't you have competent staff when a patient calls for an appointment or medication, I tell you honestly I did not have understanding and support from the operators, for two weeks I have been trying to repeat some pills and injections I need urgently, and you say that you do not understand me and that I need a person to help me with translation, You have my data from the operation how can you say that you understood and finally that I need translations. They are very disappointed
It's been a year since the last review... Not much has changed... I called four days in a row for a medical letter and a medicine and I was given neither one nor the other, I am just told to call again later, I don't understand what is happening, I can't tell you how disappointed I am with the quality of services to the sick... I don't know whether to recommend someone to come to this clinic.... If you don't want to have any more patients, you can say let's find them elsewhere.... 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

My elderly father is registered with Parkside. I live over two hours drive away and work. This morning I made over 250 calls in 40 minutes to get him seen. Shocking that I can't get through but how on earth are elderly patients able to access appointments. This surgery needs to give serious consideration to the poor service they are providing their elderly patients and put in place a new policy to provide this cohort proper care.
