Park View needs to step up to actually caring for patients rather then treating them like they are in a factory line with different doctors every time who know nothing about you as a patient. The new system is diabolical you never see your own GP any more and no one even told me Dr Wells had left! I wonder why? Could it be he saw how standards were slipping and he didn’t want to work like that anymore! Am currently putting a complaint forward for an incident which is serious. Will be changing GPs when I find one that accepts new patients.

After years of putting up with horrific care I’ve finally moved GP practices.
The reception staff are rude and very unhelpful.

For years I have suffered with eczema to be told by a GP that I have scabies and not eczema is beyond me.
To also be told that I’m wrong when stating a medication doesn’t work for me, along with being shouted at as I didn’t know a course of treatment that would possibly work for myself as I went in asking for something different to help my symptoms whilst I wait for a referral that never even happened.

My last straw was caused by reception telling me that I need to see a pharmacist to get antibiotics (who couldn’t prescribe them) after I was on the phone dead on 8:30am 3rd in the queue.. I was told there are no more appointments and I either needed to go to a&e, call 111 or see my pharmacist.

I have now changed practices and I have had more help with one interaction then I have over the past 10 years

After being a patient at this surgery for over 40's years, first with the original doctor in Church Road, I have recently moved from this practice to another. My 77 year old father collapsed and was low lay for 36 hours before Xmas due to low blood pressure. After being rushed into hospital and told to stop his BP medication, he was told that his GP would be in touch to monitor. After not hearing anything for a week, I contacted the surgery to be told by the reception team that I needed to take his discharge letter into them. I did that within the hour. Two weeks later and we still hadn't heard anything from the GP so another phone call to them was made by myself. Within the hour, the GP phoned my father and told him to monitor his BP for a week. Whilst doing this, my father's BP rose and he experienced the other nasty side effects which left him bed bound for 3 days. I contacted the GP practice and asked if a receptionist could simply ask a doctor if it was O.K. for my father to resume his medication. I was told there were no appointments. I explained that I didn't need an appointment but that my 77 year old father was very unwell and could they ask the GP if he could resume his meds. The receptionist told me that the best they could offer was for me to call back at 8.30am the next day to see if there was an appointment. At that point I politely thanked them, logged onto another local practice website and was changed within 24 hours. I have always found the GP's at Park View very kind and helpful when you eventually get passed the receptionists, but they either need to re-train their reception staff or change them as that is letting the practice down massively and it is no wonder that they are in special measures. Very sad after over 40 years of being registered to one practice.

UPDATE!!! TOTALLY RIDICULOUS SERVICE!! IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AN APPOINTMENT NOW... TOLD TO GO TO PHARMACY WITH EAR INFECTION... PHARMACY SAID THEY CAN ONLY GIVE ANTIBIOTICS IF YOU'RE NEARLY DEAD!! MERGING WITH MODALITY IS ONE HUGE, HUGE MISTAKE. THE BELOW IS UNFORTUNATELY NOT THE CASE ANYMORE. -We've been very well looked after in this surgery. Always get an appointment quickly, whether through the phone or website. Very thankful!

This surgery is a joke! They book appointments for health reviews without consulting you first. Then when you try and change it for a date that you can do, they have no access to the date you are requesting and then tell you to ring back in two weeks!!!! I have type 2 diabetes and getting them to see me when I’m available isn’t possible. If I want an appointment I have to wait until the doctor rings me back. Then we they want you to do something they get demanding and become rude. If I could move somewhere else I would go but unfortunately I’m stuck with this poor excuse of a surgery

I'm afraid I've got to complain too. I went to Jessica's chemist today(15 December2023) to see if my urgent prescription was ready. There's was nothing there so i went straight to the surgery at park veiw to ask where it was and the girl on reception said that the doctor hadn't even looked at it. It's just not hood enough if u need medication urgently

The receptionist think they are the doctors here, and seem confused when you don't wish to discuss your health concern with them ‍♂️. Poor.
Updated for another visit, nothing has improved since, still rude. Asked for an appointment got told I would get a call back today? Got to the bonus round this time of speaking to a rude triage lady. Poor again.

Doctor I finally saw was wonderful. Thanks only go to him
