Because we as a couple are holders of a blue badge then parking was no problem at all. Nice to see so many disabled parking bays and separate from the main car park. Busy little cafe just inside on ground floor. Staff throughout the hospital were polite and friendly even if my appointment to the eye clinic took over 3 hours. Shame hot drinks machine in waiting room 1 wasn't working.

I personally think that Orsett Hospital is an excellent place it's not a big hospital. But it's an excellent place for sorting your health out and getting your important health matters sorted out. It has a little cafe in the hospital and a seating area.
And at the moment parking is free
The parking payment machines are out of action.

I took my child with injured foot/ankle, she was unable to walk. So I had to leave her in the corridor while I went to book her in and find a chair.
At minor injuries the emergency nurse practitioner was very rude to me, raised his voice telling me that they need to see the child for me to book them in. I explained she couldn’t walk and that I couldn’t carry her and asked if they have a wheelchair for me to bring her round. He shrugged his shoulders and continued to abruptly talk at me. He then continued to say it wasn’t his job and that he wasn’t a porter! (I never asked him or anyone else to get me a chair, I simply asked if they had one I could use).
The security guy stood there watching as the nurse continued to shout at me. Who then had the audacity to follow me around and act like I was the issue. I finally found a chair. The nurse then sat there staring at me trying to intimidate me while I was in the waiting area with my child.
I was a parent on my own, my child was injured which is why I was there and I needed help and people caring but instead I was presented with a very unhelpful, rude and horrible member of staff. I was refused his name so I could complain, even though it was on his lanyard. I asked for a manager to be told she was unavailable.
I will definitely be taking this further as this behaviour was unacceptable and he should not be working for the nhs.

This review is especially for the X-Ray reception. Went there today at 9:15, we made a mistake and though we were meant to go there first, but it was a bit further down. That lady was very bothered by our mistake and went ahead and made fun of us with the rest of the people waiting saying that there is a big sign and that they need a bigger one.
Isn’t it simpler to be kind and just tell us what where we need go?
We had to go back to her and i expressed my discomfort all she had to say was “ok, yeah”
Since when is it ok for “medical” staff to be so ignorant?
