Look … a lot of these reviews are dodgy … you either suspect the rave reviews are from the business itself or someone with tastebuds from the 1970s … I’m not one of those. We were rehearsing a show starting in an Airb’n’b nearby and fancied a Chinese and I took a punt on this one among those available in the area. None of them looked that great to be honest, but my low expectations were exceeded … it was absolutely splendid consistently across about 9 out 10 dishes in a £85 order and everyone was very happy. I’d recommend it for good food and pleasant service (bear in mind it’s cash only though), I phoned in the order and drove round to collect it in about 15 minutes.

Have always had good food here and spent lots of money with these. But Ringing up to make an order and be told to use Uber because they don't have a driver to deliver to us is disgusting. Loyal customers who have spent lots of money told to use another business who inflate the prices is disgusting. Will now be looking for a new Chinese!!!

Had Chicken Curry and Fried Rice. Cost £11.+. The Chicken had a weird texture. The Rice was awful.

We've tried a few Chinese takeways in Exeter and they've all been 'OK' but no better than that, until we tried Oriental express. This place was the most recent, and as of then, is the ONLY place we'll go as everything was excellent, apart from the food which was AMAZING. You definitely won't get a better Chinese meal than what you get here.

The best Chinese takeaway in Exeter without question. Superfast delivery and fantastic choice of menu. Prices are very reasonable and they also take telephone orders so you can skip the online delivery costs. The food is fabulous and they always add plenty of meat when you order any meat dish. Their service is just fantastic and they always add a free item with each order. Fully recommended and 100% the best Chinese takeaway in Exeter without a doubt. We will never use another takeaway ever again after using this one. The food and service is just fantastic and their prices are very economical and reasonable. Thank you so much Oriental Express for a wonderful brilliant unbeatable fantastic service. I always have the Special Curry and Chips. It is packed with meat and so very very tasty. My partner has a variety of things and she is always very happy and satisfied too.
