Great place, free parking, free tea & coffee, seen ahead of time and treated within the 90 minutes we were told, the place was spotless and all the staff were amazing especially the doctor that treated Mum, what more could you ask for? Thank you!!😃

I was referred to Optegra by my optician. I managed to get my first appointment for my cataract operation within six weeks for the first eye followed six weeks later for the second I must say the result has been amazing. I would even say life changing I was starting to think I was going to have to retire myself, early;-(.
Thanks to Optegra, I am going to be able to carry on work as a stylist for a few more years yet 😀I hadn’t realised how badly my eyes had deteriorated.
Optegra gave a total professional service from start to finish.

I took my mate here for his cataracts and just waited in the waiting area, so I can't say about any other area, but disabled bays next to the main door which auto opens so great for access, they have a TV to help some take their mind off things while waiting, toilets and drinks as well with a coffee machine that you can help yourself to, and the staff are very friendly and helpful as well, but the waiting area is bright and clear so that's all good.

He was in there for a couple of hours, but I had my phone, so I was happy, but he came out without a stump and a parrot, so I was a little disappointed lol, but he was happy with how they dealt with him, and that's high praise from him, it's been a week now virtually, and he is gradually seeing a massive difference, he has a way to go yet, but he has just reached the point where he can actually start to tell he can see more for the first time in quite a few years.

It will be a bit longer before he will see the maximum change in his sight, but he is happy now as that stage is getting closer, but it needs to fully heal before he can get his eyes tested again and get a new prescription, that's assuming he still needs glasses, but it's a wait and see process now (no pun intended lol), but he has definitely benefitted from the procedure that's a fact.

Contact is a joke 5 times today have requested a call back by pressing one like your message states nothing back from you .i have an appointment with you at Guilford 4th November24 today i have tested positive for covid and i was trying to find out what happens now .So dont blame me if you can not be bothered to get intouch .

My wife had an emergency appointment at 8.00am at Guildford on 27 July post 2 weeks cataract replacement. Receptionist excellent. Assessment completed and scan done virtually immediately after arriving and to be passed onto optometrist. However, optometrist no where to be seen. Still waiting 90 minutes to see the optometrist and I should have been his first appointment. Simply not good enough. The receptionist was kind enough to try and chivvy him along. Not acceptable.

I am bitterly disappointed with the outcome from my recent cataract surgery, having been referred to Optegra by my local optician. I did not realise until I arrived for my initial assessment that, as an NHS patient, I would be offered a choice between two lenses. No advice was given to me about which lens might be better in my particular case and, having to make a quick decision, I opted for what I now realise was the wrong one. I acknowledge that the responsibility for my mistake was mine and mine alone, but I cannot understand why more time was not taken to explain to me the exact nature of the two options that were being offered so that I could make an informed decision. I am now stuck with a lens that I feel is quite unsuitable for me.

My assessment appointment was great, the doctor was nice and explained all options.
However, dealing with reception after wasn't as smooth, the number they give you is just a central line so not a direct number to your chosen clinic and speaking to someone is not the easiest task.
Regardless once I managed to book my surgery at Marylebone, the staff and nurses there were very nice and my lasik went ahead very smoothly, now 4 days after I have had absolutely zero pain, just a very slight discomfort on day 1.
However, post op care is a joke. I had to miss my 6 months follow up, no one seems to care and nobody contacted me to reschedule. Now I am having issues and pain on my eyes called for an emergency visit and they told me first available is in 3 weeks.
