Developed a type IV hypersensitivity reaction to the blue nitrile gloves we use in healthcare. Phoned for an appointment after being advised by a colleague, the gentleman on the other end of the phone had a poor command of his job role, and promptly transferred me to the insurance department? Insurance chap was almost comically grumpy and told me Occupational Health was "for bad backs and things like that" and "what? GP wouldn't see you?" he phoned me back and told me that I should go to A&E. I have had to book a private GP appointment to get this sorted quickly, as i cannot return to work until the skin on my hand is healed per infection control. For a reaction i picked up as a result of my job.
