I used to use microskin until a further surgery made my stoma 15mm & the starter hole in microskin is 20mm, I tried everything to make them work but couldn't so had to find another bag (not easy as I'm allergic to so so many) I've tried over 30 bags from many manufacturers. I did find another bag I was happy with but they have now stopped making those bags. Anyway long story short my stoma is now 20 to 25mm & I'm so glad to say I'm back using microskin bags. They are a little more fiddly to get on but unlike all other 30+ bags I've tried using these have never made my skin less than 100% healthy, I've never had one split, I've never had one come off apart from when I've been taking it off to change which can be 4 or even 5 days, the only time I've had output under the flange was when my stoma nurse suggested I try a seal with the bag so I tried normal & an extra slim seal, the normal being slightly thicker my output worked it's way under the seal the extra thin ones I've only used 2 but seems to work. Once on you can't feel the bag it moves as much as I do. I'm so glad my stoma has grown a little bit so I can go back to these bags that in a nutshell are the most reliable & comfortable of all the bags I've tried. Their only shortfall is I wish they came in a 2 piece adhesive coupling as being so invisible they're not the easiest bag to apply so no records for fastest bag change is coming, but they are so worth the little extra time & care needed for changing. I love microskin bags & would give 20 out of 10 if it was possible, I hope to never have another surgery but if I do I'm telling the surgeon don't make my stoma less than 20mm I never want to have to use any other bags again.
Sorry for such a long review but there's so many good things about these bags, no other bags are like the microskin & they come in good sizes, I use the largest as my colostomy can be very active one day then a couple of lazy days follow but as the bag stays secure a long time it's no problem. Again sorry for the long review but these bags deserve to have their praises sung.
