I don't know how anyone could give this hospital less than 5 stars. It is amazing. The staff are ALL great, from reception to the doctors. I had a minor procedure and felt safe, cared for, and almost enjoyed the experience. I was on my own and the team made up for it with complete support throughout. It is a peaceful, clean place that I wouldn't hesitate to go back to.

Over the past 2 months, three of my family members, including myself have had to use the Manor Hospital. From Consultant appointments, ultrasounds, bloods, MRI and endoscopy we have experienced quite a few different services. I have been extremely impressed with the friendliness and care that all the staff have provided! I have had absolutely no issues(except getting through to radiology on the phone, which was sorted out quickly by email). In my experience everything seemed to run efficiently and nothing was too much trouble. Well done and thanks for such a pleasant experience so far!

I have a GP referral. I'm trying to contact this hospital to forward it on. Since this is private hospital I was expecting a rapid, efficient, professional and expert response but I can't email directly, there is only a web form which is not answered. It's much, much easier to deal with the NHS who will at least give you a straight answer. I see below that most or all of the negative reviews are referring to the poor admin.

Radiology reception is very disappointing. They said they would call within a few hours to make an appointment but it took a week for them to email me. It takes at least a couple of days to respond to each email and waiting times to see a consultant were disappointingly slow. After I saw a consultant I was in considerable pain whilst they said I would experience mild discomfort. I called the reception four times over a couple of hours. They didn’t answer on three occasions and on the fourth they picked up the phone and promptly hung up without saying anything. This is my first experience of private medicine and I have to say, I am pretty disappointed with waiting times and receptionists, although the medics themselves were good.

After writing a review reporting poor patient communication, I was asked to provide more details so they could investigate what went wrong. I provided a full timeline of all correspondence, showing that it often took weeks to reply to emails about clinical issues. Since then I have not received any response or even an any acknowledgement of receiving my email, so it seems the whole hospital has poor communication skills.

From a treatment point of view, after undergoing my procedure, I was given no instruction about aftercare and what I should and should not do during my recovery, which seems poor care from a private hospital.

Overall. I definitely would not recommend this hospital.

Over the past 2 years I’ve seen various consultants and surgeons at the Manor, I can only say that I’ve always been treated in a very professional way.
I find that the nursing staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and I have always been treated well by all the wonderful staff that make the Manor what it is today.
Based on my experiences I would highly recommend to all.

I went in for total hip replacement on Monday with Prof Sion Glyn-Jones on 11/11.
The Anaesthetist was Dr Jonathan Chantler. The treatment I had, given invasive surgery, was nothing short of outstanding. My recovery and pain is way better than expected and I simply cannot believe how mobile and pain free I am so quickly.
Both the Surgeon and the Anaesthetist are first class, both in terms of their skill and bedside manner. I felt totally comfortable under their care, given how nervous I was before the operation.
The nursing team, the physio team and support team are also fantastic and very attentive as is Prof Sion Glyn-Jones personal assistant.
I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful team and hospital. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Thank you for improving my life.
