very disappointed by the care. I came in and they showed me to my room and said someone will be along. Nobody came and the next person to come in was clearly irritated as I hadn't changed my clothes but nobody had told me. They insisted on opening the curtains despite me explaining there was a draft. The nurse left and then when she returned I had my gown on and then she was very rude and told me to remove my bra as it has an underwire and huffed but of course I didn't know as I have never had any medical procedures before and nobody gave me any sort of instructions. After my procedure I was very disorientated and my blood pressure was low and so it was decided I wouldn't be able to go home the same day and instead I would have to stay the night. During the night I required assistance to go to the bathroom as I felt ever so dizzy and was having some severe light headedness. The following morning instead of allowing me to rest I was forced awake and constantly told I need to get dressed and leave despite me saying how dizzy I felt and they were confirming my BP was lower than they would expect. And then in order to leave they kept on forcing me to drink juice, tea and eat biscuits but it weren't helping. I would hear the nurses outside of my room discussing me saying I'm not helping myself and I weren't even trying. This was quite irritating for me as it was weekend the hospital was quiet and I had paid to use the hospital and I don't believe I should be pushed out of the door. In the end I felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed I forced myself up with no help from the nurses and got dressed and left. As expected I fainted in the car and again when I got home but I did not reach out as they made me feel like I was overreacting and it weren't a big deal. Even after 4 days I was still light headed and I was eating and drinking a lot at this time this shows to me that I had a negative reaction to the anesthetic not that I was just little light headed from not drinking or eating enough. I also told them in my pre-opp appointment that I tend to have dizzy spells and so it was in my notes and this is when I'm going about my normal life so it was made worse by the procedure.

Total hip replacement today performed by Stefan Hutchings. Admitted 7am, left at 7pm. Shout out to Wendy my nurse and Collins my physio. All the staff I had help from were wonderfully caring and your patience was much appreciated. Food was delicious too ?

Extremely poor Admin service

I have done MRI and Private consultation for my knee, all good. Need operation but I have requested MRI pics for 2nd opinion, I am waiting for last 3 weeks now. Multiple calls, emails but going circles. Timing is poor than even NHS.

I will surely not get my surgery in Nuffield. Also it's annoying and frustrating as my knee started giving up and I am struggling with normal things like climbing chair.

I would like to thank Mr Thangasamy Sankar my surgeon, for his support and the surgical procedure he has made to my life. He promised and delivered exceptional results. He is very professional and I would highly recommend him to anyone. The hospital and staff were amazing at the Nuffield Hospital in Leicester. Couldn’t do enough for me. Thank you again. SW

First ever experience of utilising a private hospital. My husband had an ankle operation by Mr Mangwani , followed by a one night stay in the Hospital. The after care and attention from the nurses staff during his stay were excellent. They kept me informed of his progress and responded very quickly when assistance was needed , I was also able to visit all day of his operation. Discharge was very quick the next day and we were able to leave promptly with all medication ready. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was above average. Follow up care has also been excellent. Thank you.

What an amazing team of people that work at this hospital, nothing were to much trouble. Everyone helpful and polite. A lady called Caroline McKenzie went above and beyond to make my son comfortable and that he understood the procedure he was having. 100% would recommend this hospital. Thank you!

Literally in after care now after foot surgery, absolutely awful feeling lets begin-morning admission and clinical team great up to surgery till around half an hour after but...about that time i received my lunch and from this point been ignored..so 2h after lunch (mind you dirty dishes still here)i called and politely asked foo cup of tea as my throat feel very sore and very dry ,I was told I will get in the min well, well 35 min later nothing happened so called again ,waited around 7min someone did come in - so I asked politely again if is possible to get cup of tea which I was told yet again I will get in the minute(at that point i hear 3 times the tea trolley goin up and down) .Well ,well 20min later nothing. So now 3h later i need to go to the toilet quiet frankly I am considering to go on my own(which i shouldn't)but i been ignored past 3h which rised up my anxiety level dramatically .By the way thats my second time here and is the same experience yet again ? i feel upset and as is say surgery at that point I just dont care if i am still in pain etc, i would rather suffer at home in friendly environment which is not adding to my stress level

Update : I was sign off home around 4.30 Pm -from 12 30pm(when i got my lunch) till then i had 3 times nurse coming checking my vitals apart of that nothing...no response to me asking for water/tea or any help ..yes they come when called ,they said we get in the min and after another 2 calls the same response but nothing happened to so i give up,and waited when i finally can go home ...by the way the last visit from nurse she was surprised why I am not so chatty and smiley..(which i was beforehand ) i politely listen to her instructions node and said bye .What I horrible experience yet again ...and imagine they take so much money this treatment...mhhhh

Go up
