I am deeply devastated by the appalling level of care my late mother received at Gaskell Ward, Northwick Park Hospital. My mother was a kind, loving woman who always treated the staff with respect, yet she was not given the dignity and attention she deserved in her final days.
The overall treatment in this ward was shocking. I witnessed multiple instances of neglect, not just towards my mother but towards other vulnerable patients as well. When I raised concerns with the staff, they were dismissive, rude, and showed no real care for the patients' well-being. It was heartbreaking to see elderly and sick patients being treated with such indifference.
That being said, I must acknowledge the kindness and dedication of two exceptional nurses—Nurse Janet and another gentleman nurse. They were the only ones who took the time to care for my beloved mother properly. Their compassion stood out in an otherwise failing system.
This ward and its management need serious improvements. No family should have to experience what we did. Patients, especially those at the end of their lives, should be treated with dignity, respect, and proper medical attention.

I’ve had the unfortunate experience of visiting Northwick Park Hospital three times now, and each visit has been worse than the last. Every single time, I’ve had to wait over 10 hours to be seen. The wait times are absolutely unacceptable, especially considering this is supposed to be a place where people come for urgent care.

What makes the situation even more frustrating is the attitude of the staff. They are consistently rude and unhelpful, treating patients like an inconvenience rather than people in need of medical attention. It’s disheartening to see such a lack of empathy and professionalism in a healthcare setting.

I understand that the NHS is under pressure, but the level of service here is beyond disappointing. I sincerely hope that management takes serious steps to address these issues, but after three awful visits, I have little confidence that things will improve. Avoid if you can.

I went to A&E at NorthWick park hospital this morning due to high readings in some of my bloodwork. It was an excellent experience from the nurse at triage to check in desk. As I was treated as an emergency due to a chronic condition, I didn't wait and was taken through straight away. The staff that tended to me,drew my blood and Dr were very good, explaining everything clearly and reassuring me that all was well. I even received breakfast. Overall, very pleasant experience.

I had an excellent experience during my visit to the hospital. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for by the entire staff. In the A&E department, I was fortunate enough to be seen by Dr. Abdullah, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. She immediately took my health concerns seriously, showing both compassion and expertise. Thanks to her thorough assessment, I was urgently referred to surgery, which I truly appreciate. Her prompt action and thoughtful approach made a significant difference in my care, and I am deeply grateful for her support throughout the entire process. I left the hospital feeling reassured and well looked after.

My dad was taken to Northwick Park on 23rd December with a stroke. Every single nurse and doctor that he was treated by was absolutely amazing, from the resuscitation team in a&e, to the nurses on the Haldane stroke ward. I know he was “lucky” because he was blue lighted in by ambulance and therefore seen immediately, and we passed far too many people lying back to back in the corridor, so their experience was no doubt somewhat different. But his care was amazing, he was immediately scanned and treated, with such care. So thank you to everyone at the hospital for your skills, your kindness, and all of your smiles despite everything you were dealing with.

I had an appointment at Northwick Park Hospital on January 8, 2025. Because of a very, very severe headache and congestion and blockage of the nasal airway, it is difficult to breathe through the nose, and it bothers me day and night, and I do not sleep, and I breathe more through my mouth. I kill. Blood comes out of my mouth and nose, and my ears close and open due to loud noises and the dryness of my mouth and throat, and it is very painful, and the sound of whistling is very strong, and my forehead and my whole head and face are very painful. .and to The reason why the doctor did not take care of me is that I have a stiff neck problem. I even had a severe wound on my forehead and I have photos and documents. What does it have to do with nerves, and I said that I can't breathe and my nose closes at night and my saliva drips on the pillow. And I said again about the headache, when my head hurts a little with a cold, what does it have to do with nerves? opinion Doctors in European countries are very bad and they want to fix everything with pills. Iranian doctors are really good at their work and they are really quick to notice the pain of the patients. It is really awful from the point of view of doctors here. I have had severe pain for about 3 years and only pills This is an interesting and funny question for me. And I have problems with both kidneys, stomach reflux, severe chest congestion, and heart congestion, and so far, no doctor has been able to cure my pain and he has not noticed anything at all. They don't. I don't know how these doctors got their degrees, especially Indian and Pakistani doctors, they have zero doctorates at all. If I were them, I would give up my doctorate. In Iran, they treat a lot of pains with their hands, and the patient gets better, and the people are satisfied. I am sorry for the country that also has a nonsense doctorate and they get a degree without anything and call themselves doctors. Example: I looked for a doctor for a toothache for about 1 year, most of them were Pakistani and Indian doctors and did not do it, and an Iranian doctor did it in one day and fixed my tooth and relieved me of this pain. People, please give your comments. Put yourself so that everyone will know that they only called themselves doctors with a signed paper. I'm really sorry.

Total joke of a hospital, with clueless and incompetent people organising it. They send out multiple appointments for different departments on the same date and same time, without even checking their own systems to see that you already have appointments at that time, and then when you call to let them know the phone just rings and rings and no one answers. Even the PALS service and complaints line don't have people answering! How is it possible to get in touch at this place? Sort it out for goodness sake!

This Hospital really need to be inspected/checked by some Authorities as lack of knowledge of nurses from Maternity and A&E. Unbelievable experience of waiting time had with my mum as she arrived there with ambulance due to heavy chest pains after a heart arrest had in Dec last year and been waited for an X-ray from 1PM until 9:40PM. After X-ray all people which I've asked when she'll be seen by a doctor they told me soon. Soon now is 9:46AM (next day) and she's still not seen by anyone.
You can die for sure in this hospital. 😮‍💨
