I regularly have to deal with the practice on behalf of my elderly aunt who has a host of later life conditions. Whenever I call with a query regarding medications initially prescribed by one of the hospitals, rather than a GP at the practice, the team always act on my requests, follow up internally, and get her medications sorted out. When I bring my aunt in for face to face consultations, the GPs and nurses are always really good with her and take into consideration her sight, hearing and cognitive impairments.

We have been with this practice 31 years and it gets better. We feel so lucky these days to have such good doctors , nurses and reception staff . They are efficient & always prepared to help you get an appointment in urgent situations . Thank you.

Truly , shockingly awful . Constantly getting prescriptions wrong and then expecting you to do all the running around to put right their error . Very rude and unhelpful staff . GP's not completing medical records correctly and then have the bare faced cheek to accuse you of lying about what another GP there had told you . Unbelievable . I think the word "incompetent" is very fitting . Better to travel a hundred miles to another practice than to come here , unless you don't value your health and well being ...then....fill ya boots !

Been here for some time and intend to keep it long term. Phone and online communication is excellent.

The gps mean well and nurses really are on point with finding any positives when times are hard with health issues.

There is also less reliance on obsolete paper correspondance. Instead text messages help you not miss an appointment, or to enable getting useful tests done.

Lastly the waiting area is to the best standards with plenty of literature, notices, and some drinking water, etc. Also a machine allows you to check basic physical details and print those out for your own records.

I visited the surgery today as an emergency appointment
Even though it was Monday morning 27/11/23 I didn't wait too long for my call to be answered
The Doctor I saw was just excellent. He checked all my vitals. Wrote a care plan. Discussing it with me at length
I was given a prescription and advice on next actions should me condition worsen.
Really positive experience

Ok so I missed my first telephone appointment but when the best time line that is provided is sometime within the day what is expected , particularly when you have a bad knee and on the toilet when the phone goes. After to make a follow up telephone appointment for the next day only to receive a 3 line text saying Yes your knee is sore

Called the surgery at 8am for an urgent appointment to be told they won’t allow a booking to be made via the phone any more. Told to try e-consult but that can take up to 48hrs to be picked up by anyone at the practice.

Only after they’ve assessed your e-consult will a doctor “allow” you to book an appointment via the receptionist. Your medical issue simply isn’t an issue until they say it is (up to 48hrs later of course) and we wonder why A&E can’t cope.

Have you ever heard of a doctors surgery refusing emergency appointments on the phone? How is this practice still allowed to operate?
