I've been with 28 at Northgate (ex 28 Beaumont St Surgery) for over 10 years and I feel reluctant to change the practice BUT it is currently in a very bad state. I feel I risk my and my kids' health by seeing some (not all) of the doctors there. It feels that the practice operates to succeed in two missions: to save the NHS money as much as only possible and to save the World from resistence to antibiotics, no matter what is the state of patients and their health history. Not to mention careless attitude of some doctors and inability of some doctors to critically follow instructions from the screen and applying them to a real patient with real multifaceted health problem.

Efficient. Polite. Reception slightly aloof but clear and seem to triage well with appointments. Doctors apply logic to appointments - if you have an item that can only be assessed in person you don’t have to wait for telephone appointment then wait for a face to face- which happens at other practices. Repeat prescriptions handled within 24 hours maximum. Nurse very quick but friendly. Only negative is they dont do sms or email reminders and you can’t check appointments online. Relief after poor experiences at previous practice. Really recommend this practice.

It's ok. Location is convenient in the city centre. Easy to commute to. Facilities are good. There is a Boots right next door.
But insanely long wait time. You might have to wait two weeks for an appointment. And, unfortunately, much could be done about punctuality as well. It is common to wait for quite some time even if you have a scheduled appointment.

The reception staff shows a tremendous lack of empathy sprinkled with an arrogant and egocentric way of speaking with patients. A very poor treatment when you ask for details as well. Their halls are usually empty but they will always say are busy... Shame. Find a better practice.

Whilst waiting to be seen I watched the receptionists constantly cause confusion for arriving patients. Giving vague and sometimes misleading information. Customer training is urgently needed.
