Raymond - There is a black guy at the reception. He is fantastic and such a great asset to the practice, unfortunately the doctor that triage, is at the other end of the spectrum. The man at the reception really did all he could to resolve the issue, but when you have a nonchalant doctor who is uncooperative, all his efforts become useless.

All I wanted was a letter from a GP, that I am registered with, to confirm I am my child's primary carer, all less than 10 lines on an email or letter. Even if it won't be immediately available, you can tell me, at most 2 weeks and not 30days and you only tell me this when I physically come in for an update, not when I made the request.
You won't let me book at an appointment to see a GP. You tell me on the phone to send an email to request and then I keep chasing up the request on the phone, but staff have no access to the email you asked me to send it to and then when I physically come in for an update, then you tell me to go register with patches. So long winded and now I have to look for a better GP to register with, because I don't want to go through a practice that does not care, especially since they get paid regardless of their bad service.

I even wanted to find out about volunteering here, but lord forbid volunteering at a place where those at the top, who should be role models and of exemplar conduct are the ones with despicable behaviour. Kudos to the black male receptionist for still remaining so courteous and compassionate even when surrounded by senior members who lack empathy. They can erode these qualities from the man.

Edit:
Racheal, the complaint handler, resolved this issue, so I have changed my review score. The black guy who was so industrious and with bags loads of empathy I believe is called Raymond. When you go in this practice, try and wait in the queue for him because he will treat you with dignity and do all he can to help you.

Raymond on reception: Possibly the nicest man I've ever met.
Since Nov last year, one of the doctors there had been the exact opposite of a healing person. The manager is a unprofessional and nasty. The East-European receptionist laughed at me when I was at my sickest. Only Raymond and the female doctors I saw actually helped me. Almost all the others made life worse and me sicker. Thanks Raymond and those 2 female doctors without whom I would probably have died by now. Would be -5 stars without Raymond keeping the wreck of a practice afloat. God bless his soul.

Go BUPA. It isnt as expensive as you think and it is so much much better.

Roman was brilliant and a credit to the surgery. He was efficient, quick thinking, proactive and went out of his was to help me. The doctors on the other hand should take a leaf out of Romans handbook and take the time to listen to understand. Needless to say, Roman is an asset and the overall service of the GP and chemist will not overshadow his work.

I have to give 5 gold stars to this clinic. I've been with them for over 30 years, seen many changes with doctors, receptionists, and nurses although Jenny and Tracy still with us and not forgetting the old cleaners. I have been taken care of by present doctors receptionists and pharmacist - all good! You always get hiccups along the way, frustrating but that's life! Thank you for all your help over the years with ups and downs included. Happy 2025.

I have been under the medical care at NEMC for most of my life. I have always found all of them to be incredibly caring and thorough with my medical needs. Dr. Marcin and Dr. Thomson as well as Tracey and Jennie get a special shout out from me, but the whole team are amazing and I literally trust them with my life. Sarah H

Just thought I might write a quick review on a truly remarkable Dr. Marcin and NEMC. The doctor has always been wise and discerning, makes me feel heard and understood; assesses my condition and gives options and tailored plans, which is making a significant difference to my health and well-being. This is so rare in healthcare today. I thank the Team for seamlessly arranging my appointments. The center provides compassionate, expert medical care. Highly recommended.

I’ve been with this practice since the 1980s and can find little fault. Things have changed over the years and service is less personal than in the past: the “designated” doctor no longer happens, treatment is by whoever is free, the more intimate and personal knowledge of one’s problems and condition is sadly missed. But results happen and given the size and language issues in the current practice they do a pretty good job.

We lived for 12 years in Fulham and have attended North End Medical Centre for about 7 years. Their specialist Diabetic Team are excellent. Getting to see a Dr for any other reason is, I think, just average.
