I am seen at North Devon District hospital more than I would like. However the friendly staff make you feel so calm and keep you well informed, this applies to the friendly reception staff to the doctor's and nurses. I've used Rheumatology dept, Breast Clinic, Eye Clinic , Physiotherapy,A & E and out of hours doctors and also admitted to a ward. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the wait in A & E is usually 4-5 hours in my experience and they don't really keep you informed that you have not been forgotten.

My son had an operation yesterday to have 17 teeth removed and we were met with nothing but kindness from all the staff in the day surgery unit especially his nurse Jane. They set his room up amazingly with sensory equipment and help to ease anxiety. My son has different diagnosis’s and is non verbal but they were amazing. Thank you so much to all involved

Thank you to the North Devon District Hospital. During several visits for several different services within the hospital.
We have always been lucky to have professional, kind, and knowledgeable doctors, nurses, and support staff.

People should respect the no smoking no vape policy, but people are selfish.

I had a spinal procedure done under local anesthetic yesterday 10/01/25 at NDDH by Orthopedic Surgeon Mr Ahmad Wafai. Mr Wafai was fantastic! He made me feel calm and at ease throughout. He's professional, yet relatable, funny, compassionate and most of all human. He was brilliant and I can not thank him enough! As well as the rest of his team of course. Went for Day surgery. Very efficient and very well run department. Quickly into recovery after my op and soon sent home. All the staff were informative and helpful. Aneathatist put me at ease and did a great job. Well done to all who work in North Devon Hospital

During a short break visiting friends a slip down some stairs on 11.09.24 necessitated a visit to A&E. What a fantastic service. Every member of staff from the receptionist, triage nurse, xray staff and dr were friendly, considerate of my pain, informative and professional. I was triaged, assessed, had an xray and seen by a Dr all within 3 hrs. Living in Somerset, where the average wait in A&E is at best 4 hours and usually 6, this was excellent. Parking was easy and the hospital itself clean and bright with facilities all close to the waiting area. So we'll done and thank you North Devon Hospital for your great service and wonderful staff.

I was very happy with the care I received from both the A&E and the on-call gynaecology team. The staff provided professional and prompt service. Also, during our visit for a scan in the Early Pregnancy Unit.

However, I would like to mention one concern regarding our appointment at the Ladywell unit. After checking in at the front desk, we were asked to wait in the waiting area. Since we had not been called in after some time, I went back to the desk only to find out that we needed to check in again. We nearly missed our appointment, despite arriving 15 minutes early. I hope that the instructions at the Ladywell front desk can be made clearer to prevent confusion.
