When I found myself experiencing strange headaches lasting a a week or so, I rang the practice and was given a telephone consultation, the Doctor arranged for me to see him less then 2 hours later, he sorted things out and within a few weeks I found I had high BP , which with tablets has settled down. I know appointments are personal so from my own experience over the years I have nothing but praise for this surgery

I think New Court Surgery is brilliant in what they do with all the pressures they're under.
I was in hospital recently and had a text from my GP, Dr Mather saying he'd just heard that I'd been admitted to hospital and he wished me a speedy recovery. It meant so much to me in my vulnerable state it brought tears to my eyes. I had pneumonia and was really quite ill
That my GP cared that much was way above and beyond.
All the GPS I've met have been incredibly professional, the reception staff do an amazing job, the nurses and health care assistants are great and with all the pressures the NHS is under and especially GP practices, New Court Surgery provides an excellent service to its patients and I for one, feel very lucky to be a patient and benefit from the exceptional work the surgery does.

After being with New Court Surgery for a while I'm very disappointed in a couple of things. Firstly reception, you never know what you're gonna get, very helpful and understanding staff or, more often than not, miserable, snappy staff that you don't want to talk to. There should be a phone etiquette of helpfulness and politeness. I work in care and am always very positive even when I feel low.
Secondly is doctors telling you what's wrong without seeing you. My last doctor did that and was completely wrong and caused me more pain by guessing. Not good

Promised a sick note would be sent to my employer and failed to do so.
When chased, several times, no reply was sent.
Eventually called them and was scoffed at when I asked it to be forwarded on by midday to avoid me not being paid.
Passed on to person dealing with it who was instantly sarcastic, defensive, refused to give bane of colleague or lodge a complaint as she was new (new does not excuse rudeness), then suggested the surgery full of patients were more important than me being able to heat my children's home over the holidays, and eventually hung up without reasoning after a whisper from a colleague.
She then proceeded to send the sick note dated incorrectly and 2.5 hours late! Clearly on purpose.
I have requested the call recording and will use civil court if necessary to obtain.
Disgraceful. Instantly moved surgery and logged a complaint with the practice manager.
Have emailed them to confirm contact from anybody other than the practice manager will be considered harassment.
I don't know how that can sleep at night.

Had Covid booster yesterday. The clinic was run like a military operation. Very well organised indeed. I was in and out in 2 minutes. Well done to all concerned and thank you all for giving up your Saturday. It was very much appreciated.

Admin staff seem pretty useless and caused me lots of stress. Had a report the doctor completed 2 weeks ago which I was waiting for and they'd rather argue with me on the phone and tell me to wait for the Dr to come back off his holiday than go and get it from his office (which eventually they did after many calls and much fuss). Maxine has a very coarse attitude and laughed at me when I enquired about a discount for the poor turnaround of the report (admin fault not the Dr.). She deals with invoices so not sure why I was passed over to her. Please don't put her on the phones again she doesn't possess very good customer facing skills.

Excellent Doctors Surgery. I thankfully don't need to access my doctor too often, but when I do, they are so supportive and caring. 100% recommend.

I have nothing but great praise for this surgery. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and always respectful. The Doctors are amazing too and give you the time you need and answer any questions and make you feel so relaxed. I had a phone consultation at the time arranged yesterday and Dr Seldon saw me later that morning and was very sympathetic and a great outcome. When in the past you have been with the same surgery for years it can be an anxious time changing surgeries when moving home, thank goodness for New court Surgery 😁
